Reminds me of listening to some experts who were upset with Tim Burton's re-imagining of "Planet of the Apes." In one scene, two different kind of apes (I think it was a chimanzee and an orangutang) were about to mate. The experts were distraught at this totally unbelievable turn of events. Apparently, the apes talking, wearing clothes, and running a fairly advanced civilization, up to that point of the movie, had been almost documentary like in its accuracy, but different species mating was the straw that ended all believability.

Agree! Our dogs are family members and we will protect them as we expect them to try and protect us.
But maybe he had to take it home or be torn apart or otherwise dissolved by a "whichmacallit". :>))

If it was pulling thoughts out of my head, after tearing my dog apart, I'm sure it wouldn't want to go home with me....at least it wouldn't turn it's back on me..unless it had eyes there too.
