To add to that. It was the family who said he was attending mosque. It WAS TATP bomb.
Our local Tulsa news is totally FU'd on this.
To: hispanarepublicana
Why is this not the subject of every newscast, 24 hours per day?

Perhaps he was clearly suicical and "they" convinced him that his death would not be in vain if he performed one favor for Allah.

No WOT connection here, move on the borders are open and no one would think of crossing the border illegally, cause if you are a musselman you are welcomed to blow us up.

The silence from media and government is deafening.
To: msnimje
It is clearly being covered up on our local news. They said tonight that they were still not sure what the bomb was and that was the 5:00 pm news.
To: msnimje
I for one am glad this isn't making headlines, that just what these scumbags want. But I agree the lack of coverage on this is strange.

WOW, if he attempted to enter the stadium with the bomb and had ties to Islamo-fascists then Pres. BORON has a lot to answer for -- it is BORON (rhymes with moron) who has been trying to whitewash this as an isolated suicide of one disturbed individual.

I thought they released the roommate after questioning. I would think if he had terrorist connections they would hold him longer.

The only time I've ever heard of someone committing suicide by bomb was when the intention was to take a bunch of others out with them! If this guy "wasn't" a terrorist bomber, he certainly did a fine imitation of one.

The Feds have obviously asked the MSM to keep a lid on this one. There are two obvious reasons for this.
Reason #1: Homeland Security needs to find his accomplices and the al-Qaeda cell (if any) behind this. They can't roll up this organization if the MSM is all over it. It's important not to panic the rats so badly that they flee the country.
Reason #2: The government doesn't want to panic the people. There is the threat of misguided vigilante violence aimed at mosques and Muslims in general. With the army and the national guard abroad, the last thing we need is to have civil strife here.
The government is just trying to be prudent and responsible.

Kind of curious what the those who mocked those questioning the lack of national media coverage have to say now?
Surely, these new details warrant at least a blurb on CNN, MSNBC, or FOX?

I was watching Boren make that statement, and I wondered to myself: How many times must he say "disturbed individual" in order to make everyone listening really believe it was just a disturbed individual...not a cell of terrorists, or an act of terrorism.
To: Abigail Adams
"How is it that he failed to gain entrance?"
He refused to submit to having his backpack searched, and fled. Three times. From what I've read on the other threads, Hinrichs got caught up in tightened entry searches during halftime, because of concerns about students entering the stadium with concealed alcohol.

How is this crap ever going to get resolved unless people are awakened to the threat around them.

Why is this not the subject of every newscast, 24 hours per day? In contrast, the Pakis up in Lodi, CA with terrorist ties that were arrested/deported/awaiting trial, have been all over the local news in the Big Valley.
Minimal coverage on the national scene though.

Channel 9, The Oklahoman, and OU Daily are in a partnership. The Oklahoman is run by the daughter of Edward Gaylord who was a major donor to The University. The Gaylord College of Journalism is named for him and the stadium is named for the Gaylord Family after the millions and millions of dollars they have donated. His daughter, Christi Gaylord Everett is a member of the OK Board of Regents.
Edward Gaylord wanted a Journalism College that leaned right and turned out honest and ethical journalist -- OU Daily has done a great job on this story and in asking tough questions along with The Oklahoman and Channel 9. Edward Gaylord would be very proud of the legacy he left in more ways than one.
