Of the ethnic groups at Larkin, Principal Richard Webb said, the Hispanic group is growing at the most increased rate and of that Hispanic group, the vast majority of students are Mexican-American. I didn't realize the Constitution calls for mob rule. I must have misread it.

If they tried to make me stand, I'd have unzipped and pee'd as well. I would have gotten a few buddies to boo with me throught the anthem. This is America. If we were punished my family would have made the biggest stink the left has ever seen. WE HAVE TO FIGHT THESE SCUMBAGS.

He should have boo'd and thrown bottles at whoever was on the floor....like they do with our anthem.

What the hell are they doing playing another country's national anthem in a US school? Well, I'd like to know why my US tax dollars are funding an alien enterprise??
To: DogBarkTree
He should SUE the school admistration, the school board, the local NEA and any other democrats he can find worthy..
Would make an absolutely juicy story.. Oh for a video tape of this event..

We can tip our hats to many cultures, but the Libs forget or intentionally subvert the fact that the United States is a NATION not a culture. Celebrating Mexican national holidays is supportive of Mexican nationalism, not culture.
To: flying Elvis
Celebrating Mexican national holidays is supportive of Mexican nationalism, not culture. Is St. Patrick's Day supporting the Irish nation or the Irish culture?

...The point here is that we are not at war with Mexico, they are an ally...
Idiot.

I agree with theDenist. I don't even think they should have to go to these Multicultural events - do you know how much $'s the schools spend on all these events - tons! Also, the kids should be in class studying - not be forced to celebrate someone else's culture.
Where are the cultural events for all the European-American kids? Why don't the Mexican kids have to sit through those. I think the only way to get rid of this nonsense is to demand events for Irish-Americans, German-Americans, Polish-Americans, etc. and make them attend. I think you will find they end up canceling all of them because the other cultures will refuse to go. So please call up the schools near you and make sure they are celebrating ALL the cultures - including events for all the European-Americans! I think we should demand Oct should be German-American month, March should be Irish-American month, etc. Here is an example: (not in any particular order)
Sept: Scottish-American
Oct: German-American
Nov: English-American
Dec: Italian-American
Jan: Austrian-American
Feb: French-American
Mar: Irish-American
April: Swiss-American
May: Norwegian-American
June: Danish-American
July: Portuguese-American
Aug: Finnish-American
If they are forced to celebrate all these they will quit doing it.

I would have to ask: Was the flag blue, white and red? Or was it white? I can see them saluting the white one!
