Tony's guests and topics on today's show include:

The Key Voices
We've been hearing all week about conservative support and doubts regarding Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. But what do the conservative Senators on the Judiciary Committee think? We'll talk with Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Sam Brownback (R-KS).

Boomer Sooner
The Has-Been Media has not dealt with the Oklahoma University student who blew himself up near the football stadium. Could he have been a suicide bomber? Tony investigates.

Kettle? This is Pot. You're Black.
Bill Clinton insists that "the odds are not great of us prevailing" in Iraq. Tony wonders how the man who ran away from terrorists is qualified to make such an assessment.

Here's the deal: For those fans who would like to ask for a photo-- please send an email request to Tony at tonysnow@foxnews.com (please note in the subject line of the email "For Tony")  and provide your home mailing (not email) address. Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later.

If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request.
All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time
-- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

So far so good on the NYC subways ... after the rain, the roads are more dangerous than the trains today.

The Bommer Sooner was mentioned on Tucker Carlsons show last night during an interview with a counter terrorism expert from Stratfor.

Right Spirit

Read:
Luke 12:4-7

Fear Him who . . . has power to cast into hell. . . . Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. —Luke 12:5,7

Bible In One Year: Zechariah 11-14

coverI once read some theology on the bumper of a car in front of me. It said, "If you go to hell, don't blame Jesus!" The slogan apparently was an attempt by the driver to do some evangelism. I gave him credit for trying, but I wondered if those who saw that warning felt it was put there in love.

Reverend Newman Smith had a doctrinal dispute with Baptist preacher Robert Hall. So Smith wrote a stinging pamphlet denouncing Hall. Unable to select an appropriate title, he sent the pamphlet to a friend and asked him for a suggestion.

Smith had previously written a tract called "Come To Jesus." After his friend read his bitter tirade against Hall, he sent it back with a brief note. "The title I suggest for your pamphlet is this: 'Go to Hell' by the author of 'Come To Jesus.'"

One of the most disturbing assertions in the Bible is that men and women who reject Jesus will spend eternity separated from God. Even more unsettling, virtually everything we know about hell comes from the lips of Jesus. Yet when Jesus spoke of hell, He did so with accents of love.

When we witness to our neighbors, we should ask ourselves these questions: "Is this what God wants me to say?" and "Is this how He wants me to say it?" —Haddon Robinson

Give me a spirit of love today
In everything that I do and say;
I would be loving and kind and true,
Asking myself what Jesus would do. —Hess

Difficult truth should be wrapped in the language of love.

Wow. When I came in, it was about 70 degrees and a little muggy.

New England weather. If you don't like it, wait a minute.

Sorry it's cold there. It must be warmer here because there is a lot of hot air in the state legislature.

Not hearing the whiner. Is it possible that she can get, say a JOB?

Okay I am starting a PANIC here. No sound coming out of the computer for Tony's show.

Good news is I told hubby he's teaching today and he isnt po'd.

He just keeps asking whats new on FR?

I'd have his head if he spent as much time as I do here and not getting anything else done.

What a guy.

Thank you Tony for being to only significant talk show host that is covering the Boomer Sooner.

You have been around the block and you have to admit that the total lack of coverage is not normal. Even if you believe the official [cover] story, this was a "man bites dog" event if there ever was one.

Even the great FNC barely touched it Sunday, mentioning it maybe twice and reporting it with as much enthusiasm as though Fred Ziffle had fallen into a combine.

The official story stinks to high heaven. Ch 9 (www.newsok.com) in Norman reports that he did have a ticket to the game and tried to get in.

There are a thousand questions the press should ask, but are nearly silent. For example:

What about the Pakistani roommate Cheema? He was held briefly and released. How is this? Even if the cover story is taken at face value, Cheema did have a bomb factory in *his* apartment. What did he tell the FEDS that was so convincing, "I thought Joey was just playing with his Chemistry set.”
