Yes, but he isn't promoting liberal Black Democrats in his administration, so it doesn't count.

There is traditionally low voter turnout in the Black communities. So, perhaps they don't like their choices either???

Looking at the likes of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Christine Aguilera, I would say that the culture crisis crosses all races and economic groups. The whores and pimps are leading the way down the chute -- they be white, black, brown, and red and all combinations therein.

Yep, there is a sub-culture of amorality that is the real rainbow in America.

How true is it that close to 70% of black children born in the USA is illegitimate ? If 70% does not count as "most" and is a hyperbole, what else does ?

=====================================================

Ok, let's take a look at what you're saying....

Since 70% of children born in Black America are born to single moms then to say that most of Black America is immoral is accurate.

This interpretaion of your "proving statistic" extrapolates across the whole only if every Black American (man, woman and child) had a baby, is that what you are suggesting?

Or are you suggesting that 70% of Black babies are immoral?

In the 1990 census 12% of those polled identified themselves as Black. In 2000 the number was 12.3% so to make it easy we'll work with a statistically unchanged % of the US population. During the ten years between the two census polls the US population grew by 13%. So did the Black population. That means that a maximum (assuming that no Black woman had more than one child during that period) of 13% of all Black Americans (of all ages and both sexes) gave birth during the last measured decade. If 70% of them were unmarried that translates to 9.1% of Black Americans were unmarried mothers during that decade...A maximum of 9.1% - not the 70% that you use.

To say 70% when the number can be no higher than 9.1% is hyperbole defined.

And, even allowing for the unlikely prospect that every unwed father in Black America had only one child during that period the percentage combined is less than 20%....a minority, not most.

No, skippy, I'm afraid that you will have to offer some other proof that, as Peterson says, "most" of Black America is immoral.

Why so cryptic? Details, please.

Sorry for the late reply....

JLP started his public career within the Black community positioning himself as the "anti-Jesse", the "other Jesse". For a number of years he hounded Jackson publicly and in a loud, insulting and confrontational manner. He offered no alternative courses of actions and came off as an embittered wannabe. For five years or so he floated a "national repudiate Jesse Jackson day" effort that never saw more than a dozen BOND employees/supporters standing on the street with anti-Jackson signs. He since dropped that charade.

A number of years ago Jackson pulled his strong-arm chicanery on Toyota. There was a press-release event in LA with Toyota and Jackson announcing the deal. JLP imposed himself on the event and ranted against Jackson using language that was easily actionable. All good but the second part of his rant was a demand that BOND get a cut of the action. To many that was revealing of a certain unsavory agenda.

In spite of what we think about Jackson the Black community at large either supports or puts up with him. He approaches sacred cow status. JLP came out and with no track record of any kind of achievement for the community and demanded that Black America deny Jackson and acknowledge him as the real Jesse.

If it were not for giving Hannity the chance to have a "Black" "leader" say things on the air that he himself won't say (eg...most of Black America is immoral and weak) then JLP would be a non-entity.

I truly believe that given his reputation in the Black community trotting him out and linking him to conservative America will turn more of that community away than it will attract. And that is counter productive.

As an aside, Tiger ISN'T pure black. He is half Asian and is of mixed race. Now *THAT* is a great example of harmony in the USA.

Agreed. Another aside, I'm 60% white American (French, German, Spanish, British and who knows what else), 10% American Indian (Chickasaw or Choctaw) and 30% black American. On a sad note, the law from the good ole Democratic south stipulated one's blood had to be 99.99% white to be white. Many people have taken their lives when they found out that they were not White based on the law (Devil in a blue dress wasn't fiction). For me, I finally figured out what I am, a conservative AMERICAN!

as I said, JLP is fairly new to those here but he has a history in the Black community and that history has pretty much shut him out from being an effective bearer of the message.

WTC, if you've got some charges, make them. Otherwise sit down. You're mentioning post after post what a horrible guy Rev. Peterson is, as if you've got a trunkful of material on him. Meanwhile, you've got nothing, other than the fact that the truth hurts, and you want to see someone else carry the ball.

What you don't understand is that the joke is on you. Many people here not only know who Rev. Peterson is, they've followed his career, and are very impressed that they've found at least one man in the black community who is going to call them as he sees them, no matter the arrows shot his way. It's called courage, true courage. Perhaps that makes you uncomfortable.

You're a liar. Do you think you can get away with that because Rev. Peterson is a public figure?

There's something eating you. You're obsessed, trying to discredit a great American post after post. Aren't you at least a little embarrassed by what you're doing?

The Toyota event was December 10th, 2001 and transpired as I described it, at least according to Toyota who also said that they had sent all the necessary funding application forms to JLP the previous August but that BOND had not completed and submitted them.

If the purpose and goal is to influence Black Americans to consider and embrace conservative values JLP is not the most effective messenger. He does not have a foothold following in his community and it doesn't matter how many in White America applaud him. Starting essays by saying that we all know that most of Black America is weak and immoral might make good press in certain circles but it will just further alienate JLP from the target group. That is counter productive so why endorse it?

Really? Who at Toyota told you that?
