Nope. The absense of some governing authority in a civilized society would be anarchy. Libertarians are basically authoritarian anarchists where the rule of law is selfish and self-destructive.
Well now, you've either gone totally bonkers or you're just being a pest; but to be honest with you I'll give you credit for playing the stupid part most convincingly.
"How can Bush exhibit leadership to a bunch of feral cats in the Senate? Bush doesn't have the team to fight the Dems right now. Bush picked the most conservative nominee that could win confirmation right now."
Maybe if he hadn't supported liberal GOpers over conservative ones in the last election, things would be different.
Must have been his good character judgement again. You know, like when he looked into the soul of Pooty-Poot.
" Janice Rogers Brown would never be confirmed by the Senate."
And this nominee likely will. What does that tell ya? :(
It tells us that the political atmosphere is more partisan and poisoned than at any other time in recent memory.
The issues are so hot, like abortion, and there are many pro-choice GOP in the Senate, there are not the 51 votes to confirm, let alone over ride a filibuster.
Now we get to the real crux of many of the Punditbots arguments. You don't really care about the conservative cause, only that you and your media "Gods" are proven right about your knee jerk opinion from the gate.
I'm still skeptical about Miers, but your opinion, I'm no longer skeptical about. You have disqualified yourself from any reasonable debate on a conservative forum by abandoning the conservative cause for your own self interest.
For the good of FR.....withdraw yourself.
For those of you who stumble upon this later.....yes, this IS the most ridiculous thread EVER!
