CARACAS: Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez blamed capitalism for earthquakes hitting India, Pakistan and Afghanistan as well as for mudslides in Central America and Mexico. Speaking on radio and TV, Chavez said these catastrophes were natures answer to the world global capitalist model. Never have there been such disasters, hurricanes, droughts, torrential rains. Incredible!

Oh crap. Why mince words? Just blame it on Bush, that's what Chavez really wants to say...

I prefer to think that lack of capitalism is the reason why tens of thousands were crushed by their apartment buildings.

Was continental drift caused by capitalism?
Usually when a dictator is willing to start making public statements which are not just deceptive or aggressive, but clearly insane it means that a period of savage repression is about to begin.
These kinds of comments from Hitler, Stalin and Mao preceded the Nuremberg Laws, the "liquidation of the kulaks as a class" and the Cultural Revolution.

Dear US media,
Guys, you're slipping. Chavez has beaten you to the punch in blaming a natural disaster on the republicans. Shape up guys; next major international tragedy, I want you guys taking political advantage of it right away by claiming that it happened because we aren't performing enough abortions.

What a nut. Why would nature strike places like Kashmir or Guatemalan villages for the capitalist crimes? Then, again, reasoning with commies is futile.
