"It's kind of hard for a guy who's dedicated his entire adult life to the health and wellbeing of this country to be called a traitor by people who, I feel, have probably sacrificed a lot less than I have," he said. You feel wrong, Lieutenant. Those of us with more time in grade than you have think you're an idiot.

"But in that black and white universe, where do you put Josh Rushing?"
Idiots. He was talking about nation states, not individuals. Those who do not actively confront terrorism allow it to ferment in their own backyard. If you can't or won't clean up your backyard, the US will do it for you.

Aiding and abetting the enemy is dangerous stuff in any age. Tokyo Rose was just a voice in the air, Rushing will be a face in the room. Hundreds of armed and lethal civilian American security personell in the region will know his name and face, and will be particularly disgusted by the fact that he's a former officer in the American military, just as almost all of them are former military.
I guess he's betting they're all law-abiding strac troopers. But it only takes one unstable, irate cowboy, possibly anguished over the death of a comrade whose life was put at risk in part by Rushing's propaganda, to prove he bet wrong.

"..just a guy who says it may be worth us trying to understand their perspective." If you find a nest of copperheads underneath your back portch you kill them. You don't try to understand their perspective.

It was not me. I do remember meeting Frost years ago. He was dating a Super Model that lived across the street from where I grew up. I refused to shake his hand when introduced to him. Man, today I feel justified in my prior actions!

You are so right. I have killed many copperheads, and never asked them anything before popping their arse!
They are small, but mean little ba*tards!
