If I contract with you to wash my car for $1,000,000, there is a pretty high risk that you will not get that payment.

Also, you probably won't be washing that car 20 years from now.

No I calculated the salary in the normal manner for an exempt employee.

Exempt employees' salaries are generally given as annual amounts. Nowhere will you find HR departments discussing exempt pay in $/hr. terms. In my entire career, all exempt work, I NEVER had the luxury of a 2080 hour annual workload, or even anything close to it.
