Howard will be a great addition to Congress. I would prefer to see him in the U.S. Senate, but the best chance for that to happen will be to build from a congressional bid, I guess.
California Republicans are too timid IMO. Forget whether we agree or disagree on specific issues, both the moderate and conservative GOPers are too afraid to champion what they believe in.
That's why I like Howard and Melanie at MAF... they both 'put it out there' because they find it hard to believe anyone could oppose the things most passionate to them (support troops/fight Islamic terrorism, secure the border, don't spend money you don't have and then keep spending more and more of that money).
If you can't be boldly FOR those things or are ashamed of them, then what point is there to be a Republican?
Anyways, thanks for posting this thread :)
When you see so many Republicans in Washington either sitting there doing nothing or venturing off in the wrong direction, it would be great to have a Republican Congressman with the proven track record for ACTION.
No analogy intended on Supreme Court nominees.
Washington seems to be devoid of conservative leaders who actually do something. Howard will be a life-saver in that regrard.
Government was our only "growth industry" in the first place and we certainly din't need any more!!!
