Chris Wallace: Media Bias 'Astonishing'
NewsMax.com ^ | 16 October 2005 | Carl Limbacher

"Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace said Friday that since leaving the mainstream networks behind to join Fox he's noticed an "astonishing" amount of biased reporting on the part of his former colleagues.

"I came from the mainstream media and I didn't used to feel this way," Wallace told WRKO Boston radio host Howie Carr.

In radio interviews he does to promote his Sunday broadcast, Wallace said, the questions he gets are almost always slanted against the Bush administration.

Seems like the same drunk with a mouth full of Sen-Sen, to me. ;)

Out of curiosity, what sort of news network would please you? One that presents only the conservative point of view? Serious question.

In defense of aunts.

When I was twelve I voiced a liberal line to a beloved aunt. I had soaked up ads by left-wing politicos that sounded all so kind, charitable and good. In my young mind it was an appealing message. It didn't take her long to explain to me the difference between feelgood emotionalism and rational conservatism.

Lessons in learning to think and reason are sometimes learned early, sometimes late and sometimes never. Perhaps Mr. Wallace is one who is learning a bit late in life.

What are you, some kind of pedo-perv?

Nice to see you and Tanker have your minds in the proper place on this Sunday morning. Not that your tasteless comments deserve a reply . . . but I'll give you one anyway.

Monica's mother cleans me up when I puke on myself and when I can't make it to the bathroom in time. Monica's mother calls 911 when I have a bad seizure. Monica's Dad fished my tongue out of my throat when I had a seizure and swallowed it. Monica's five brothers and sisters, including Monica, take care of my yard and mutt when I'm unable. Monica's grandmother cleans my house, cooks my meals, and helps me tend to the every-day running of things. Monica's grandfather worked for my father and his father for 72 years before he died in 1992.

Lastly, Monica calls herself my girlfriend to everyone who visits me . . . and she signs her email accordingly. It's a private joke between Monica, me, and her family.

But it's private no more thanks to small minds like yours and Tanker's. I hope you both feel better now.

" She's a fine woman, with traditional values, yet cannot see how the Dimmicrats undercut everything she stands for. I don't understand it myself. " ...
Just don't give up on her, if she has the same values as you and I, she might " SEE THE LIGHT ".
It will take the right information, or person to help her see the light.
If she is a Christian, and knows the Bible, maybe you can show her how the ACLU, Liberals, Gays are against the BIBLE, and show her HOW the Democrats have, and WILL undercut everything that she believes in ( I know, my mom is the same way ( FDR DEMOCRAT GENERATION ).

He is a fiscal Liberal! 30 years ago - he would NOT have been able to run as a Republican!

Congradulations noob. You've drawn attention to yourself. 30 years ago? Ah the good old days. If your premise is that Nixon is more conservative than Bush', you're in for a surprise. Learn your history.

Then she went on about how low the President's ratings are, and I told her that I was amazed at how high they were, given the fact that people like her, who get all of their news from either newspapers (in our case, the KC "Red" Star), or the alphabet broadcast networks (she doesn't have cable), never hear a single good thing that's going on, either with the President, or the war on terror, or Iraq. When confronted with this statement, she was unable to think of a single favorable news report she's seen regarding the Bush administration, or anything it's done.

Nice anecdote. I'm also trying to convince some friends that they're being brainwashed...with limited success.

They (liberals) aren't used to being challenged. My mom is democrat and doesn't know she should not be - I can't even talk to her. She has an allegiance to the Democratic Party and she doesn't even realize it has left her.

Question: How does a democrat (my mother) and independent (father) raise 3 extremely conservative kids while claiming to hate the right? Answer: They are conservative but will not admit it.

Lets add one more category, and that is the high numbers of young Hispanics volunteering for our military.

You're right, Grampa. How could I leave that one out?

Like many other cultures, I've seen my share of Hispanics who aren't Super-Citizens . . . but my Hispanic friends would compare favorably to any other ethnic group. White, brown, black, red, pick any color you want and my Hispanic friends would hold their own.

I don't know. I expected the worst from Chris but listening to some of his asides the last few months - I think he does see the light. Now if FOX would remember who (us) made them what they are today - they could give us back the "fair and balanced". I don't like the direction they are headed in anymore - even as recently as yesterday re Toledo - "the rioters are just acting out" bs.

Do you agree that 'my side' should have been banned or suspended for saying:

"I do not like Bush!

He is a fiscal Liberal! 30 years ago - he would NOT have been able to run as a Republican!"

Talk about being scared of the truth. The Mod who slapped the 'my side' person with "banned or suspended" should take a month or two off and calm down.

"While Bush has not followed the grass-roots conservative policies on some issues (like spending and immigration), on almost everything else, he is far to the right of Nixon and Ford."

When I see the fiscal irresponsibilty in the White house, Washington and too many of the states, I get scared. When I see the President bragging about Homeland security and how effective it is while seeing the invasion of America by illegal aliens I wonder what window the President looks out of.

Using Nixon and Ford as an example of sorry presidents is the truth. I am sad this president will probably be amongst them in out history books.

The entire Republican Party has forgotten what Conservatism actually is. Just what they stand for today is almost Progressive Democracy. Meirs scares me because Harry Reid instantly jumped to support her. That is almost an indicator that she was preapproved by the DNC leadership, another scary thought.

If that's all there was to it, I agree.

I didn't get there quick enough to see if there were other posts, in other threads, that might have caused the zot. And, we don't have access to the IP logs that the mods do, which might have shown this to be a serial troll.

Hi Mark!! Did you ever ask her who she reads, listens to or which sites she visits online??

She refuses to get cable, she only reads the KC "Red" Star, the KC Jewish Chronicle, and Newsweek (although she'll also sometimes read Time and Ladies Home Journal. As far as going on-line, she has trouble just dealing with Yahoo Mail! She's in her early 80s, and I get calls once or twice a week about how to check or respond to her emails. I've tried to set her up with some on-line news sites, but she just can't get the hang of it.

The weirdest thing is though, she listens to, and likes, Rush! It's just that nothing he says seems to sink in! lol

Mark
