Iranmania

LONDON, October 16 (IranMania) -Iranian officials said on Sunday they suspected British involvement in a double bomb attack in the ethnic-Arab dominated city of Ahvaz, despite furious denials and condemnation of the attacks from London.

Two bombs exploded outside a crowded market late Saturday in Ahvaz, capital of the oil-rich Khuzestan province adjacent to British-occupied southern Iraq. Five people were killed and more than 100 injured, according to the latest official toll.

"Since there are British troops present alongside our border, there is a concern over their involvement in the explosions in Ahvaz," Alaeddin Borujerdi, the head of the Iranian parliament's foreign policy commission, told the student news agency ISNA.

"We have information on their previous involvement in the unrest in Khuzestan," he was quoted as saying, even though the British embassy in Tehran had quickly moved to condemn the attacks and deny any involvement.

"The explosions in Ahvaz had a British accent," the head of Iran's Basij volunteer militia, Brigadier General Mohammad Hejazi, was quoted as saying by "It's a conspiracy," Hejazi alleged.

The province has been hit by a wave of unrest this year, including riots in April and a series of car bombings prior to Iran's presidential elections in June. Iranian hardliners have already alleged a British link to the simmering unrest.

As a side note Only about 2% of Iranians are Arabs but this region they're the majority. It is oil rich and there are separatists groups supposively aligned with the British in the region.

I am surprised that the Iranians took time off from the
training of suicide bombers and various Palestinian terr.
orgs. to issue a statement like this. Perhaps they have
created their own problem?

Or is it tit for tat for the British accusing the Iranians
of giving the insurgents better IED technology?

I have no doubt that your "tit for tat" observation is correct. Well, too bad for the mullahs.

I wish it were an active tit for tat countermeasure, but then Tehran or maybe Qom would be the obvious targets, not Ahvaz.

Nazis always blame others for their own tactics to garner support for their unpopular regimes.

Islam nazis are worse than Germans and Russians........they look forward to death.

Japan learned a lesson in 1945 that many a nazi regime since has missed.

Maybe they're just returning the explosives they confiscated from the smugglers last week?

DoctorZin reports, 10.16.2005:

Russians Help Iran with Missile Threat to Europe

Con Coughlin, Telegraph:

Former members of the Russian military have been secretly helping Iran to acquire technology needed to produce missiles capable of striking European capitals.

The Russians are acting as go-betweens with North Korea as part of a multi-million pound deal they negotiated between Teheran and Pyongyang in 2003. It has enabled Teheran to receive regular clandestine shipments of top secret missile technology, believed to be channelled through Russia.

Western intelligence officials believe that the technology will enable Iran to complete development of a missile with a range of 2,200 miles, capable of hitting much of Europe. It is designed to carry a 1.2-ton payload, sufficient for a basic nuclear device.

The revelation raises the stakes in the confrontation between Iran's Islamic regime and the West - led by the United States and European countries including Britain. READ MORE

Did you ever notice in addition to the used diapers wrapped around the heads of the Mullahs, not one of these Iranian radical Islamists never, ever wear a tie, not one tie since 1979. It's that anti-Western thing.

A man cannot decide what the future field to plow is to be.
all that a man can do is the best that they can and pray
that there children, their good children will make good
use of the efforts of their fathers. And pass on to their
children a even field to till.

We are but humans, we master no tides, however we can make
better ships!

They aren't even Iranian. The entire culture is foreign and Arabic. Everything about them is foreign and has nothing to do with Persian history, culture and ethnicity.
