Strippers flown to party
Details emerge in Vikings' sexcapades

ST. PAUL, Minn. - Strippers flew in for the party. Football players pulled up in limos. As a pair of chartered boats eased onto Lake Minnetonka, booze started flowing and, according to crew members, a sex party began.
Investigators now believe that the strippers from Atlanta, Florida and elsewhere who joined the party apparently work for a high-class escort or call girl service that caters to professional athletes, two law-enforcement officials said.
The party was a far cry from the typical gathering handled by Al & Alma's Supper Club and Charter Cruises, a mom-and-pop outfit in Mound, Minn., that one cop involved in the case called a "Perkins on the lake."
When a group of Minnesota Vikings players chose to party amid bartenders and hostesses accustomed to working family functions and company outings, the result was a major uproar.
Any criminal charges that come out of complaints about lewd behavior on the boats are likely to be minor, a law-enforcement official directly involved in the investigation said Thursday.
But as details about the Oct. 6 party emerge, the Vikings reel in a stream of negative national publicity.
The blowup stems at least in part from the choice to hire the boats and crews from Al & Alma's, two law-enforcement officials said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.
"Basically, it's a crime of stupidity," one of the officials said. 'We got naive young kids catering, watching 350-pound athletes" engaged in lewd conduct, said one of the officials. "There are probably only two or three other cities in the country where this incident would have happened and not made news or generated a complaint. I'm thinking Los Angeles, New York and possibly Chicago. That stuff doesn't go down well here."
Vikings owner embarrassed
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf is angry and embarrassed over accounts of drunkenness and sexual misbehavior by his players on a charter cruise, and said Friday the team will now have a conduct code.
Wilf, in his first comments since the boat party last week, said he has apologized to the governor. He also has spoken with his players, who will be held to a code demanding "high standards, high morals and success."
Stephen Doyle, a lawyer representing the boats' owners, has said cornerback Fred Smoot, formerly of Mississippi State, paid for one of the cruises on Lake Minnetonka. A total of about 90 people were present, Doyle said. They returned to shore more than two hours early when crew members complained of wild, lewd behavior.

It is the job of strippers/call girls to find idiots with too much money and redistribute it. Of course when word got of out a group of idiots this idiotic with this much money, "strippers" came from near and far. I surprised the town was not overwhelmed by the number of "strippers" looking to cash in on these idiots.

The rumor here is that the media went downtown to try to find out who provided entertainment and the local strippers gave them the information because they were mad.

And to boot, the Vikings flew back to "Atlanta, Florida and elsewhere" with the strippers showing up to play Chicago yesterday.
This story may have real "legs" if the girls came from the Gold Club and related joints..the Atlanta strip joint empire that a bunch of NBA players ..like Patrick Ewing, got messed up with a while back. These are run by the mob...and if there is any hint of a connection to gamblers, well..
Well, maybe. I suspect there may be some Federal Statute involved. And this is only theorizing, but start with conspiracy to transport persons across state lines to engage in criminal acts. And it could mushroom from there quite rapidly.
These "strippers" seem to be the only way they can score.
I too don't 'buy' the product of professional sports - it's a turn-off for me. I actually enjoyed seeing Allen Iverson and Co. eat humble pie from the last Olympics. I'd rather see our college players represent the United States - though that will probably never be the case again.

Think about it. A woman has maybe five contacts a day, seven days a week. That is 35 men a week, 140 a month, 1,680 men a year. In ten years, she's "done" 16,800 men.
By then, at the ripe old age of 28, after 16,800 men, she usually has herpes, hepatitis, HIV/AIDS and is either a drunk or a drug addict. She might even have a baby or two.

Your point exactly about pro athletes - I doubt if this kind of behavior is rare or exclusive the the Vikings - 'athletes' get 'access' to females starting when the 'interest' first appears and it doesn't stop - what do you think 'Pep' clubs are for? Not for attending church on Sunday.
It was funny listening to Michael Irvin talk about the Cow-pokes exploits on the Dan Patrick Show on Friday. Evidently, they had the "White House", a house that five players purchased in a secluded area where they could go and have all of the fun they wanted and no one would know. Seems to me that this is a professional athlete problem, not just a Minnesota problem.
The question is, what is the over/under on the number of weeks that Tice coaches this team? I'm going out on a limb and saying 3.
