I remember this story well.
The one on the right (Vanessa Zuloaga) seemed to me to be the ringleader.
Other FR threads with her name:
Yes! So light in fact that a slap on the wrist would seem cruel and inhumane punishment by comparison.
It appears that the Juduciary want's to only punish anarchists enough to protect themselves with being charged with abetting anarchy, but not enough punishment to discourage them.
creepy little misfits
there ought to be mandatory National Service for all of Americas youth .
Give them something to do ,other than hang out ,smoke dope ,
and get into mischief.
We need a good border to begin with !
To put this into perspective they were convicted of a felony which will follow them all their lives. Sandy Burlar was convicted of a misdemeanor for stealing and destroying top-secrte papers from the Natl. archives. Guess the DNC didn't spring for the good lawyers for these shock troops.
At the core of most liberals is a streak of nihilism if not outright disrespect for property. The further left they are, the more anti-social and violent they are. Ideas, especially conservative ideas, that cannot be rebutted logically have to be smashed. The reaction of these leftists is the reaction of barbarians... which most far-leftists are only inches from being.
True, soooooo true.
given the circumstances, they should qualify for a well paying university teaching position
Probation?? These anarchists won't learn until we start handing down some stiff penalties. Of course being anarchists they won't be able to stay outta trouble for 2 yrs. so they'll end up in the pokey one way or another!

Anarchists? Didn't you know, they're useful idiots for the Democratic Party and N.C.'s legal system is run by their Democrat Masters...
I'm actually surprised they had to pay any restitution at all!!
To put this into perspective they were convicted of a felony which will follow them all their lives.

Yes, but with the ongoing good deeds of the Sundry Berger crowd, this will in no way prohibit them from voting in the next election (even after they make it "big time" to prison).
Nice looking folks. I didn't read the names so could only identify 3 X chromosomes for the lot. The Christian in me wants to buy them a bar of soap, and a pale of warm water, but I know the ACLU would rush to challenge this sentence as "cruel and unusual."
Or a gay bar.
someone must of peed in the gene pool.
At least as a convicted felon their lives will be substantially limited.
Then their lives will have caught up with their minds...
GED? This was a big ta-do at the time...I remember all this going on! I remember they couldn’t find or afford descent representation, they found no traces of paraffin or any accelerant on any of their persons! The three did not all know each other and one guy (David) was guilty and the girls (Melissa and Vanessa) were doomed since they couldn’t be tried separately! They did look dirty, and like misfits....but that doesn’t = guilty! I have the gift of no social prejudices... BTW...they didn’t all plea guilty, I believe it was no contest! It’s a shame that the real vandals weren’t caught! One of the girls Vanessa was there for a concert! I hate when the appearance of an individual prevents their ability to get a fair shake!
I had to go back and read the original thread to find out what you were talking about. It's been close to six years since I made that post. I had completely forgotten it.
Hopefully those little vandals are off probation and living decent hardworking lives.
