Able Danger: Curt Weldon Interviewed by Rush Limbaugh in the Limbaugh Letter
The Limbaugh Letter ^ | September 2005 | Rush Limbaugh

I did not take the story to the media first when I was told about Able Danger in June. I'd been working on datamining with the Army's LIWA (Land Information Warfare Assessment) facility for six years, since 1999...When I first found out about Able Danger three months ago, I went to the House floor after I investigated this. I went to two 9/11 commissioners, a Democrat and a Republican. And John Lehman told me I should pursue this publicly. He said, "Curt, if you don't, nobody else will." I went to the House floor and did a speech, and no one paid attention...Then The New York Times picked it up and it's become a national story...My goal was to get this issue brought forward, not to grandstand...So Tony Shaffer came out and said, "Congressman, I'm going public. It's going to be the end of my career as an intelligence officer, but the time is right to stand up for what's right for America." Then Scott Phillpott, a Naval Academy graduate, a stellar career in the Navy, came out and said, "I will stand until the day I die and affirm we identified Mohammed Atta in January and February of 2000...

wow. Again, I am awed. Thanks, vadkins. Frankly, my personal problems are taking the fore right now and I can barely spare much emotion for this, let alone effort. But in my opinion, your work on Able Danger is a great service to our country and I hope you can succeed. Hopefully, other freepers may be able to help, especially calling their own Senators and Congressmen.

At the risk of offending those freepers who read every message posted and never want to see a repeat, I will repeat my info on the subject of calling Congress. Thanks again, vadim. You are doing it.

There is a toll free congressional switchboard that will forward your call to any member of the House or Senate - (800) 648-3516

It works best if you only call Senators or Congressman who personally represent you. Generally, the people answering the phone are upfront about the fact that they don't care about, you otherwise.

In addition, it is important to realize that these people you will talk to are not professional phone people---such as the person trained to ignore your concerns when you have a problem with your computer. Leave aside your "game voice" and speak nicely. The person on the other end will listen and respond in a human fashion.

And yet after this major cover up Bush wants us to trust the government to control the Federal Military on US soil during times of crisis. Unbelievable.

Excerpt from The Limbaugh Letter interview -

[Weldon] "As far as I'm concerned, the 9/11 Commission staff is the problem. You know there are a lot of incestuous relationships there, because the staff director of the 9/11 Commission is now Condi Rice's top staff person."
