Backstabbing traitor comes to mind when I think of Gergen.....and Kristol.
Not worth the time. Better do that with a influential pundit instead. ;o)
Fox should jettison him to MSNBC.
He is universally disliked by everyone it would seem. You could not find a single caller who thought highly of the man.
One of the hosts, Ron Insana just couldn't believe it. He praised McCain over and over but no one was buying!
Ouch. That's gotta hurt! LOL
I do not. But the MSM treated it as "evil republicans" out to destroy clintoon. Don't think Bush will get that same deference...
Yes. He's saving up energy for McCains next big loss inthe primaries.
lol. I want to know who pays to read this stuff. It just seems like such a waste of time. And then tv networks like Fox have this guy on as if anyone cares what he has to say. What is his claim to fame? His dad? Or is it that he worked for Dan Quayle? Or is it that he was Alan Keyes roommate?
I don't see many people listening to Kristol at FR. He appears to receieve very little respect at FR, and certainly didn't get much respect on this thread.
Kristol isn't a RINO, although I admit he comes across like a smarmy kibitzer on television. He may be "about"
Bill Kristol, but to be a RINO you need to have unconservative politics, and Kristol is pretty conservative.
I think a better case can be made that Bush is a RINO.
Like many, I was struggling with what is going on in this whole affair. The vital clue came when Mrs. Karl Rove opened the garage door to prove to reporters that Karl was not home. Folks, it's the missing file boxes in Karl's garage. The CIA knows the gig is up. After the disastrous intelligence failure of WMD, GWB gave Rove the special assignment of bringing down the pimps at the Agency.
Judgement day is at hand.
"my head was bashed apart, and i was layin' there in my own p*** and blood."
That just shows that the talk radio audience is smart and informed. Unfortunately, most of the people who don't listen to talk radio are politically way to the left of the talk radio audience.
I think Alan Keyes roommate may be his best quality.
I guaran-damn-tee you nobody in the White House talks to Kristol anymore. If they ever did.
I don't know of a single person who listens to Bill Kristol. And I know a lot of conservatives. Of course, the conservatives I know are mostly not Beltway-conservatives.
I couldn't disagree with that more. GWB may not be as conservative as Ronald Reagan, but he's pretty close. That puts him fully on the right side of the republican party.
part of the issue we potentially face with Fitzgerald - came from Rove talking to Matt Cooper, and Libby talking to Miller. Did you see the excerpts of that release letter from Libby to Miller? It read like he had a crush on her.
If you worked in the white house and Mandy Grunwald's husband called you, would you talk to him?
I'm not sure where this Fitzgerald thing is going, but I don't put alot of faith in him. If Rove and Libby are indicted, so much for "cooperating fully" as being the good faith approach to this investigation - when a prosecutor spins a perjury trap for you, "cooperating fully" is simply handing him your a*s for indictment. We'll know by the end of next week.
Karl Rove keeps classified intelligence information about the CIA in little file boxes in his garage?
Good thing Bush isn't Clintonesque. Kristol might end up in the Potomac river with concrete boots. ;o)
I wouldn't be too quick to reach that conclusion. Remember what Tenet said about CIA intelligence: their information isn't all correct but it isn't all incorrect. The truth lies somewhere in the middle.
Remember those reports about satellite photos of five heavy trucks driving from Iraq into Syria just before the invasion? Have you seen the reports of chemical weapons being used by Syrians in Darfur province in the Sudan? WMD doesn't have that much weight or volume and therefore it isn't that difficult to move or conceal. That's what makes it WMD--on a pound for bound basis it's incredibly lethal. The MSM has completely screwed up its analysis of WMD in Iraq. They are clueless about science.
I think they may be a perfect pair because they are both girlie men, and between the two of them they do not have "a pair". LOL!
I read a couple of his father's books, and I loved him. Didn't necessarily agree on everything, but he came across as so reasonable and intelligent and good-natured and, well, likable. The son is a great disappointment.
Mccain may have suffered as a POW, but he was a lousy Pilot that did not like to follow rules. He crashed his plane into the water and instead of going by how he was trained to get out of a plane under water he cut his way out therefore destroying Taxpayer Military Equipment. He comes from a long line of Military Brass and he did not measure up. I am glad he survived, but he is not one I respect except for his imprisonment and service to our COuntry.
I find the man an obnoxious bore sometimes. Particularly over all this Miers stuff. Yeah, yeah, I was disappointed too. But I still think the woman deserves a hearing.
As for the bleak "mood" at the WH and the speculation, I saw a lot of speculation in the media during Katrina too, and that media is directly responsible for aid not getting to the people that needed it. So, speculation reported as news can have a damaging effect to the public and really does no one any good.
If it is a slow news day, tough excrement!!! But, considering all that is going on that is positive in Iraq, Kristol and other "media whores" would be well advised to open their pathetic biased eyes and report the *&%$ news, the GOOD and the bad.
Methinks little Billy Krystol is engaging in a little wishful thinking.
Kristol, the best conservative commentators? Bill is that you?
Most of us are not against commentators voicing their opinions. It is their utterly awful over the top comments. They are so crazed and nasty in their opinions you would think that GWB appointed Hillary or Michael Moore. The woman has not even had a hearing and they have already condemned the woman to the death penalty. Everyday Frum and Co sound more like the wild eyed nutcases at DU. They just do not condemn her using mostly four letter words like the DUmmies do. They think they are more important than they are. Good Lord GWB did not ask their opinion, and their panties are in a bunch. I would not give you two cents for any of their opinions. Just look at Rich Lowry, he looks like he is auditioning for a job in a heavy metal Band, except for the suit which looks a bit disheveled. His hair is wild and greasy and he looks like a 14 year old that did not sleep for a week, and he whines. I'm going to listen to this guy's opinions? Not on your life. He substitutes for Hannity and thinks he has made the big time. That is a laugh.
Exactly, Irving Kristol the original Neo-con had an excellent career and reputation. I certainly did not agree with him on a lot of things either or Gertrude, but they were credible and would have never been backstabbers like Bill Kristol.
It's hard to deal with Fitz on all of this. He's been great about not leaking. But he's taken this nonsense far too seriously. This should have ended a month ago.
The thing is, I think Rove/Libby got this info from a couple of different "sources" and it was the biggest open secret in Washington. When Wilson went to Niger, everyone wanted to know who the hell he was. They probably thought nothing of spreading the info because they didn't barge into Human Resources in Langley to figure it out. It was just a rumor.
I don't know that there was a perjury trap. If I had to guess, Fitz will write a report saying what awful and terrible people Rove/Libby are and hinting that Judy Miller should say more but she's not a part of the probe.
The truth is, we know nothing of this probe and all we are hearing is wishful thinking on the part of these guys.
According to another story, there will be no "report" - just indictments or no indictments, perhaps supported by a brief statement. Apparently the GJ info is confidential, even after the jury is disbanded.
Gee whiz. The neocons (known for their loyalty and principles) are jumping ship. What a big surprise?
can't remember a thread with SO MANY posts removed by mod!
Little man Kristol is totally lacking in intellectual honest.
Bill Kristol has been making trouble in DC for Republicans, particularly the Bush family, since 1988.
He personally advised Dan Quayle to make the "Murphy Brown speech" and also to make a speech in the middle of the 1992 campaign distancing himself from the first President Bush on foreign policy. James Baker wouldn't let Kristol participate in campaign strategy meetings because he leaked everything to the press.
When it became obvious that Governor Bush was going to be running for the presidency, Kristol wrote several articles saying that Bush couldn't win, and said that the ONLY person who could defeat Gore was COLIN POWELL! He pushed Powell until it became obvious that Powell wasn't going to run, and then backed McCain.
When McCain lost, Kristol spent all summer and fall of 2000 trashing every speech and campaign appearance Bush made. On election night, his possum grin increased as the Bush lead grew smaller. During the Florida recount, he constantly trashed the court strategy of Baker and was always pessimistic.
When Gore finally conceded, Kristol remained positive for about 45 days, until it became obvious that this Bush wasn't going to hire him any more than the first Bush would.
So, we got the trashing of Colin Powell (his former favorite) in an article called "Our Profound National Humiliation"...about the fact that we got the crew of that spy plane back from China without gunfire.
I also am convinced Kristol was involved in the Jeffords defection, based on the fact that he had a "source" who let him scoop everyone else about Jeffords. (Someone who was a loyal conservative, if not Republican, might have warned the white House, but I digress). Kristol sat there on television with this big grin about Jeffords jumping ship. Later I find out that the reason Jeffords left was because he was convinced the White House was going to drop the dairy subsidy, something they had never intended to do! Now where would Jeffords have gotten that idea? Since Kristol HAD to have been talking to Jeffords (because only 3 people knew of the defection, Daschle, Jeffords, and a democrat go-between senator) I believe that Kristol was the one who told Jeffords that. I can't prove it, but every time I think of his evil smile when telling Brit Hume of his scoop, I have no doubt.
Kristol was also reported as continuing to meet with McCain's staffers well into 2001, and I don't think they were playing tiddlywinks...probably hatching the CFR plot.
So how you can say that Kristol doesn't wish any harm to come to this administration, I don't know. Even when Kristol is on Bush's side (War in Irag) I believe it is simply a coincidence. You will note that Kristol has also been pushing for Rumsfeld's resignation as well.
Yeah, Bill Kristol, loyal conservative and Bush supporter. HAHAHAA!
Maybe (if true) this is because NO ONE knows what's going on? -- Including Kristol.
I would like to see Kristol and his mini-Me Frum totally discredited.
Just watch - he'll be backing Hillary in 2008..
Um... Maybe the WH is a little morose over the whole SC imbrogolio? I'd put money on that before a whole bunch of indictments...
Preparing to jump the ship?
Anyway, Kristol is obviously playing out his role in the end game of this delicious Rovian plot.
He is only a Bush ally if he agrees 100% with a Bush decision. If it deviates even slightly from his preference, he writes like the sky is falling.
I'm not a big fan of the term neo-con, because it is used so loosely. The left wing press calls Rumsfeld a neo-con. Funny for a 71 year old guy who has been a republican for 50 years.
I think someone got banned and all his posts were pulled (?)
Kristol is not a "homo". He is a hubrisexual. He gets orgasmic over gossip, innuendo, and anything with McCain mentioned.
