Issa and Parsky are the only two that announced about two Repub conventions ago that they intend to run. That was at the very one that the dumb delegates decided to endorse A.S. without even having a Repub PRIMARY!!!
---
If there is no primary, how can they get their hats in the ring and keep others from running, should aRnold's shot at a sequel collapse?

Oh, that's right, aRnold's Rep convention endorsement and no primary deal was a one-timer only, I guess. It smells even worse today then it did then.

More "special effects"? and how much will THOSE cost us ?

Trojan horses don't come cheap, yaknow. ;-)

Well, see? I knew you'd catch on before you finished that last reply!!!

Arnold has abruptly cancelled just about every danged thing he has started a run-up to!!! Now he's realized that even some of his reforms are in trouble so he's changed his ads to get him disassociated from the issues.

He suddenly understands that even if he wins, it'll be impossible to govern because he's personalized the issues and pist-off too many powerful and even hundreds of thousands of not too powerful people and wouldn't be able to govern!!!

And he knows that if even one little pin prick (initiative loss) gets too near his flimsy balloon of mile wide, but inch deep mystique, he'll go down in flames like that hydrogen filled diridgeible in New Jersey!!! (Oh the humanity!)(I guess you could call it the "hydrogen blimp blow-out," rather than the "hydorgen highway!)

I keep tellin you guys... PUT A FORK IN 'EM! HE'S DONE!!!

What never ceases to amaze me, is that it seems that your little group posts half the posts on the California threads about me, even when I am not participating.

I thought you all are so interested in the "issues, fair and balanced".

My nightmare is that Schwarzenegger will actually quit, a conservative Republican will be elected to replace him, my past sins will catch up to me and I'll be forced to apologize to the sponsor of the FairOpinion account.

Calm down!!! He still has Ross Perot's crazy aint in the basement with her little cain cavortin up an down her silly sidewalk!!! He just pulled the ones that were runnin before that one and especially the ones where he did the talking!!!

They musta done a focus group and found out that he personally is now considered just another creepy politician that cannot be believed!!!

Ya know... As many false moves and false starts we've all seen him initiate, then pull back from, it's a wonder ANYONE believes ANYTHING he has to say anymore! Most people are just coming to the general conclusion that he is just generally "full of it!!!"

Kinda like somma his overly dedicated, "do or die" disciples right here on FR!!!

Some people inhale it...

Some people must inject it! I think that's why Arnold signed AB547, the
"Clean needle and syringe exchange projects" bill. Gotta recruit more supporters!

I beg to differ. You can't kick legislators out of safe districts they've drawn up for themselves to keep in them in office until they're forced out by term limits. That's where handing redistricting over to an independent commission will change things by maximizing political competitiveness. It will make politicians accountable to the voters instead of making the voters in the politicians' image. I can understand why the parties want to keep the status quo. Its been kind to them. But its not been so good to California.

It appears that the districts that may become "more competitive" will be those held by conservatives.

Despite all that, there are many reasons to oppose Prop 77. I posted many of them Here

No one knows for sure. If you were right, the Democrats should be for it. What one can say with certainty is the politicians like custom-designed districts where they can choose their own voters. Prop. 77 isn't perfect but nothing can be. The end of gerrymandering would be a healthy development for democracy and I don't really care who stands to benefit or lose from it. The average Joe doesn't have job security. I don't see what's so special about politicians keeping theirs even while they ignore pressing matters the state needs to attend to.

>>If you were right, the Democrats should be for it.

And many are. In fact, check who is funding the campaign--mostly wealthy democrats.
