She probably should have been a physician with that handwriting though.

Think that was one of the screeners......her comments were all typewritten. Think the handwritten notes were screeners epitomizing her a) responses to the questionnaire and b) her replies to live questions at the screening.

I was a little disappointed that she didn't just tell them, "quit sodomizing each other: Stop AIDS!" She also should have clubbed that question about "civil rights" for gays, which was code-talk for all the Lawrence baggage.

Gays have civil rights. Now, thanks to Lawrence, they also have immunity against civil laws against homosexual behavior as contra naturam and objectionable per se.

One more SCOTUS decision to take down.

A day after Bush publicly beseeched .....

When did "beseeched" replace "besought"?

Who told these newsies they could use Street Klingon stylebooks as replacements for standard English? I'm seeing more and more of this grammatical dreck, turning strong verbs into weak ones and deracinating the comparison of adjectives.

"Bummer, man."

Again. I've not seen any pro Miers people call anyone sexist or elitists.

One of Ms. Miers' most surprising defenders has been Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, a judiciary committee member who faces a difficult re-election campaign next year. Mr. DeWine said he did not think the conservatives' concerns were valid.

"I think that there's frankly... a little elitism that's creeping into some of the criticism," Mr. DeWine said. "This is someone who is really just the type of person I'd like to see on the bench.... I think the president has made an exceptional choice."

Thanks for the clip.

Applying that logic, Hitler was a vegetarian, therefore vegetarians are Nazis.

Just because some people oppose Miers doesn't mean they're allied with the Forces of Darkness like MoveOn.org or the other fringies. It means they oppose Miers, and probably for entirely different reasons than those groups.

Thanks. Thanks for being a voice of reason.
