:o)
I've always been told that aCLU "lawyers" are "lawyers" that can't get themselves hired by real law firms because of their extremely low intelligence. Any of you lawyer Freepers know if this is true?
I do not think any Army could fight if every action they took was video taped and subjected to analysis by team of lawyers. Combat is chaotic, incredibly confusing and tremendously stressful. There is no such thing as a "clean" war. Their is no doubt in my mind that by whatever standard you choose the American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan are committing fewer "violations" per soldier than any Army in the history of modern warfare, while our enemy is committing more violations per combatent than any army in modern history.
We are basically fighting savage beasts with out even the most primitive sense of humanity, we owe them nothing but a miserable death. Since the "insurgents" are not even remotely covered by the Geneva Convention and have a policy of brutally torturing and executing their prisoners; I think we have every right to not take prisoners or to execute them once we have beaten whatever information we can out of them.
The correct procedure is for us, is to question terrorists using whatever the "lawyers" say is acceptable 'pressure';
then turn them over to some trustworthy locals, to interrogate, have a quick trial, and carry out a death sentence.
AntiAmerican Civil Liberties Union, that what it stands for!!!!!
Okay, if you want a show trial...8-). And yes, the sound of spent 30-06 cases sound very satisfying.
Sorry ACLU we'll try harder to get a few more.
ACLU? My give a damn is busted
I am fed up with that bunch of anti-American jackasses!
The ACLU is now a news organization? They are now investigating and reporting. I am sure the UN loves this.
What a JOKE!
