Infamous Film Director Uwe Boll Signs Suicide Pact with Game Developer 'Running With Scissors'
Start firing those AK-47s into the air because "Postal", the game franchise that politicians, parents groups, countless cowardly reviewers and over a dozen sovereign nations don't want you to play has just become the latest game to make the transition to the big screen.
Running with Scissors (RWS), the world's most dangerous software company, has signed an appropriately apocalyptic deal with renegade filmmaker Uwe Boll to bring the most controversial franchise in gaming history to the screen in all its blood-drenched, ironic glory.
Despite everyone from Steven Spielberg to Microsoft announcing big money deals involving films based on video games, this new partnership between controversial figures in the game and film industries is destined to become the most incendiary game-to-film deal yet.

Otherwise, I'm not into video/computer games, so have no opinion on the matter.
Uwe Boll directed
Alone In The Dark. It bombed.
But I thought it was
good enough to get
a thread of its own. I mean,
it did have Tara . . .
Postal2 is a very funny politically incorrect game with blood, guns, cat silencers for your weapons, and you can urinate napalm on people.
I was trying to look up Running with Scissors the company and found the website but there is no mention as to where the company is located.
Does anyone know?
"After Being so disappointed in the doom movie that I almost cried"
You actually went and saw that movie???
Shame on you :)
I learned my lesson a long time ago with Robot Jox modled after Mechwarrior. After that I am highly dubious of any movie made from a video game. In fact I am also dubious of any movie made from a comic book as well. They just FINALLY got Batman right...
Oh my God - Robot Jox: One of the TEN WORST MOVIES MADE
Well, it can't be any worse than the game, but that isn't saying much.
I think it might actually be good.
After all, Uwe Boll's movies have been, shall we say, "sub-par"? And "Postal" wasn't a good game. But you when multiply two negative numbers together, you get a positive. So with these two negatives involved, the end result should be good!
Yeah, yeah. I'm desperately looking for a silver lining here.
Compared to "Wing Commander" it was Gone with the Wind. As an aside, any history buffs who are gamers out there will love the game "Rome - Total War." It is without a doubt the best strategy/warfare game I have every playe. Be warned though, do not start playing on a work night. It is so addictive it is a major time eater.

I'm going to pick that up soon. Medieval: Total War was really cool; they have a lot of replay value because of how many possibilities there are.
