Nothing much seems to have been talked about that it was David Corn, not Novak, who first published Valerie Plame's name. I hope Byron York asks him about THAT and why he (Corn) was not called to testify.

I'll be watching.

just sent this email to York:

"Tim Russert, MSNBC, and even Steve this morning, keep repeating "Libby is the first White House staffer in 130 years to be indicted". They understand how intentionally misleading that factoid is. They know many other White House staffers resigned before they could be indicted.

and none of them tell viewers that indicted White House staffer 130 years ago, Orville Babcock, was eventually acquitted!

http://www.archives.gov/publications/prologue/2000/fall/whiskey-ring-1.html

And emailed Steve too.

Did you hear Steve say Wilson would speak tomorrow to the Press Club? He's doing 60 Minutes and Dateline tonight and TODAY Show in the morning.

SOOOOOOOOOOO many opportunities to get caught in more lies!!!

Morning, OXEN. I am listening and Corn desparately wants Rove's head on a stick. He says that Rove shared classified information in violation of an oath he signed and should be dismissed. Says they are hiding behind technicalities.

It is perfectly legal for Rove, Libby, and Cheney to have conversations about the lies Joe Wilson wrote in the very public NYT about the administration. They had security clearances. Joe did not.

How is it possible that Wilson did NOT have security clearance and yet was sent to gather "classified" intel regarding the status of "yellowcake"? I am not buying that Wilson and his woman Val gal cooked this whole attempted coup up allllll by themselves. Somebody else had to have a hand in this attempt to save Saddam and get a lying corrupted liberal elected president.

This begs the question WHO is running this government????

Corn is hyper ventilating and spewing. York is calm...w/facts.

(Did any of you know that Corn has tried his hand at writing novels? I am such an avid reader that when I'm w/out a book, I've been known to read tomato soup labels, BUT I could not read even one of Corn's novels and tossed it.)

Contrary to the usual practice of requiring anyone such as Wilson going on a CIA generated mission to sign a confidentiality paper, Joe did not sign one....thus, he published what he had supposedly discovered in Niger while sipping green tea w/some functionaries there. Interesting, isn't it that CIA failed here?

Corn has to go back to the old canard of whining because Bush suppporters called liberals 'unpatriotic". (Democrats use that as a reason why they had to vote to support the war.) Bullhockeydoodoo! That spin came straight from moveon.org.

Which, to me, says Wilson was freelancing. Somewhere in the offices of the CIA or the front organization Plame worked for has to be a copy of the travel authorization for one or both of them. Why can't it be dug up?

I wish York would be a little more vigorous in his defense of the Administration. Korn is making so many false statements and inaccuracies. He needs to be refuted. Korn even made the patently false statement that Wilson was the former ambassador to Niger. In fact, it was Gabon.

I suspect that Korn was an early confidant of Joe Wlson and a conduit for his venom. Korn was at the courthouse when Fitzgerald handed down his indictment and asked a question.

Weeks ago, Andrea Mitchell admitted to Imus that all the reporters knew that Valerie was CIA.

Last night, she told Russert that they did NOT know that. And Russert said to her that he did not recognize his own testimony in the indictment.

Who's lying NOW?

Byron York should just reach across the table and slap Corn. He's so rude, and yes, you're right, Corn slips in many inaccuracies in his tirades.

Not to worry. York's calm, well informed demeanor is much more impressive than Corn's obvious scorn for this president. Corn is not a reporter, he's a mouthpiece. And in this particular case, he's been Joe Wilson's viper tongue!

Well considering that we have learned that old Joe Wilson was intent upon saving Saddam, maybe it was NOT a failure but by design. That among other things that have transpired since the day President Bush was finally declared the winner of the 2000 election all sorts of methods have been attempted to destroy him.

I always am reminded of Rocky's MEMO that gave out the road map for the method of destruction. I do not think there is any separation from this incident and that MEMO.

Corn and the rest of the MSM are very unhappy that only Libby was indicted. Now they will attempt to use Libby to get to Cheney and then the President. Already, people like Kristoff are asking what did Cheney know and when did he know it. They are hoping for another Watergate. I guess in this guess Tim Russert is "Deep Throat."

Thank you Byron York for the true definition of "Borking". It's when United States Senators attempt to destroy a presidential nominee for political reasons.

David Corn and all the democrats who are crying crocodile tears for Harriet Myers, are exposing their dishonesty...and their hypocrisy. If republicans hadn't been opposed to Meirs, rest assured, Kennedy, Boxer, and Schumer would have led the charge against her.
