Code Pink and Veterans for Peace Scofflaws Bus-ted by D.C. Chapter at Walter Reed 10/28/05

D.C. Chapter STOPS the Crawford "Peace" Bus in its tracks, after it parked illegally for over an hour blocking traffic Friday night at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Rescue & fire trucks had to change lanes to avoid the hippy bus. Metro Police was called three times but failed to respond, so the DC Chapter took a "citizen's action".

Good job turning the tables on the pro Fascist anti liberation forces.

Could they have found a better example of a hippie to drive their bus?

Hippy bus, indeed.

Too bad they don't come down to Fort Campbell... I'm sure the 101st would like to have a few words with them. They couldn't have picked a more suitable mascot than Cindy Sheehan. She's either on medication or has an IQ in the low 70's.

The video won't load. Why link something you know you can't support?

At least tell us in words what happened with the bus.

What was the purpose of "blocking" the bus...so they couldn't move it? Did they try to? If it was hindering emergency vehicles, wouldn't you want it moved?

I'm not sure I understand what went on.

The police wouldn't respond to citizen calls to move the hippie bus, so we used the leftists tactics, block 'em. The bus was not going to move until Kristinn sat in front of it and we started to get photos. We had to continued to block the bus until the police arrived just to show the police what Code Pink does.

We also used the opportunity to get some good photos and to swarm the Code Pink side with FReepers.

Of course the idiots at Code Pink didn't realize that the bus blocked their demonstration from the south bound cars.

I have to admit the motivation seems quite confusing to me too.

However, when in the throes of protesting, passions get high and what looks like something odd has significance during the time.

Nice to see Kristinn get the attention of the The Chief Priestess of the Pinkos though.

Your almost correct
It's the medication that raises her IQ into the low 70's

Great video, thanks for doing it. Of course, if I'd known that you were taping it I would have made sure I didn't attempt to sing. LOL. It did drown out Pinkos though and that was my mission.

It always amazes me that the Pinkos call the police when it suits their purpose but call them nazis when it doesn't. Of course, if the police had shown up when they should have none of this would have been necessary. Funny how they come running with many police when the Pinkos call but when actual tax paying citizens call you can't get them to arrive.

I particularly liked the part at 6:55 of the video where Krsitinn deftly manuevers his patio chair to block the hippy bus trying to drive around him....Classic.

The purpose is clear. Do you think they'll bring the hippie bus back to that location? I seriously doubt it. That's a victory in and of itself. Next, the Pinkos were seriously hassled - we harshed their buzz - that means that they'll feel even less enthused about showing up every Friday night to harrass the wounded troops and their families. The more opposition they face, the more defeats they meet, the more times they're outnumbered, out messaged, and outclassed, the better chance they'll just quit their despicable presence in front of Walter Reed.

^^^^^

The police have told the DC Chapter to phone them if there is any trouble. The DC police were phoned for an hour with the report that the "peace" bus was illegally parked, and was flauting the ordinance against parked buses running their engines.

The police did not respond until someone from Code Pink called them to complain about Kristinn.

Point made the officer in charge and the 8 squad cars who responded to a leftie's request, but not a conservative's request.

Thanks. I'm not sure that it would have been justified to call the 911 number, but that's exactly what the Pinkos did.

Our first night at Walter Reed, the Pinkos sent over 3 leftists to our side with "Kill the Poor" signs and one of the three claimed to have a gun in his pocket and ranted on about killing people. tgslTakoma called 911 multiple times and the response was worse than pathetic.

See LIVE ACTION REPORT: Code Pink's Gail Murphy sends thugs into peaceful DC Chapter counterprotest

Looks like the Pinkos get a lot better police response than we do.

And what about the policeman in a patrol car who drove by with window down, slowed down, heard our complaints, and chose not to act?

Bill you are so wrong. It was a case of the police not wanting to get involved. If they would get more respect, I would have had to bail Kristinn out. There were several things that happen while we were talking to the police Captain that would negate your statement. (I won't post them here). Sometime police just look the other way for either side. If it were the right officer on the right day, he would have stopped and at least had them move the bus. This was a simple case of picking their battles.

No, they didn't ticket the Bus, or Kristinn. I have some more video with the discussion between us and the Police Captain, but I didn't think it was important. He just made his point that they wanted us to remain on our sides, and "not to block traffic or they would start arresting people". They just let the bus move on and leave after that. When we complained about them not responding to our first three calls when the bus was blocking the righthand lane, he said "we are not responsible for the dispatchers, we came when they dispatched us."

Bill you are so wrong.

You mean when I said: "Looks like the Pinkos get a lot better police response than we do?"

If your point is that we just had bad luck with police dispatchers, you may be right. However, there was a marked difference in response when the Pinkos called police vs. when we called the police on that night. Maybe we just didn't call the right number or say the right things to get immediate police response, but there was a difference.

I was standing with the female officer when she called dispatch to verify the 311 call from us.
I am satisfied that the DCMPD had more on their plate Friday night, and moved a traffic call to the bottom of the list.
Code Pink used the 911 and that is why they got a response.
She was really cute, too.

When Code Pink calls they overstate the problem. We were not calling about the same thing. They most likely made it sound like someone was dead. We did not do that.

I'll bet that you're right. Code Pink must have overstated the problem in order to get so many officers to respond.

A pair of officers could have easily handled the situation.

The captain is right about the dispatchers. One of my closest friends is a dispatcher, and they have the power to prioritize calls. A call about an illegally parked bus would drop to the bottom of the list.

Nobody, can you take a look at the timestamp on that call we made to "311," which I think was the first call one of us made about the bus?

Will the other "311" callers chime in with the time/s they called, too?

The bus was parked on the southbound side of Georgia Avenue, engine running and without a driver inside, in a one-block-long "No Parking Zone" for more than an hour. It was 15 feet from the entrance to WRAMC.

The bus was a mobile billboard for the leftists, and they parked it in front of WRAMC, blocking safe access for any southbound vehicles entering WRAMC - including a firetruck, ambulances, DAV buses, WRAMC patient transport buses, WRAMC employees, visiting family members, and anyone else who needed to get into WRAMC.

The passing MPDC cars, some of which were stopped at the traffic light and saw the bus, were not the least bit interested in doing anything about it, even after four phone calls to "311," and Freepers very vocally announcing the lefty lawbreakers to the passing cops

It's not too encouraging to think that any old bus could pull right up to the gates at WRAMC, park illegally, the driver can leave the bus sit (for more than an hour) there while he walks off, and detonate whatever explosives he may have filled the bus with.

Of course that didn't happen, but it wasn't because MPDC was doing their job.

The MPDC never would have made any effort to have the vehicle moved, had it not been for the spectacle of one man in a lawn chair playing chicken with the bus. MPDC is afraid of the lefties' crying that their First Amendment rights have been violated, so they just drove on past the multiple violations, until they were forced to do something.

And the Code PinkOs really, really, hated to see a bunch of clean-cut Americans using leftist tactics against them. How dare we do such a thing! LOL!
