Schumer is likely to come unglued and we need to chronicle his "attempts" at speaking to the issue of the recent nomination of Judge Samuel Alito. While he does not rate one bit of help in his efforts to undo this excellent choice you need to look at this as a place where we can all go to see the “best” of his idiotic press blurbs which will be his own undoing.

"It's sad, that the President felt he had to pick a nominee that will divide Americe instead of like Sandra Day to unify America. We need unity now..."

"...he (Bush) is more concerned about...the extreem right wing of his party."

This heavily masked and spun comment DECODES into:

"It is too bad for anti-Constitutional Socialists, that the President had to pick a nominee that, unlike Sanda Day, that would follow the law, uphold the Constitution and not legislate from the bench"

Well Schumer is not going to like Sen Specter's comments I just received in email:

From RNC Email:

SEN. ARLEN SPECTER (R-PA) ON
JUDGE SAMUEL A. ALITO, JR.

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-PA): "I've known Judge Alito through the better part of two decades. He sits on the Court Of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which includes my state of Pennsylvania. He brings to this nomination a very distinguished record: was in the Solicitor General's Office, was U.S. Attorney for New Jersey. He has been on the federal bench now for 15 years. We are in the process of assembling his opinions. It is estimated that he has been involved in about 3,500 cases, has some 300 opinions which he has written. So that we have a very good idea as to his approach to jurisprudence." (Sen. Arlen Specter, Press Conference, 10/31/05)

Can we start a pool?

Who will make the most idiotic comment?

Dickie Durbin or Chuckie Shumer ?

And when/where will they make it ?

In Committee Hearing? On Network? On Cable?
At a partisan event? At a non-partisan event?

Which will be the first to mention Hitler/Nazis/Stormtroopers?

Shumer is playing to win so far, but if this isn't restricted to Senators then we'll have to wait until Dowd scrawls something out.

"Ted Kennedy is falling all over himself to get infront of a TV camera."

... and, that's quite a ways to fall.

I want to see Voinovitch cry again!

I love seeing politicians cry, almost as seeing them in prison.

If less than perfect, not good enough.}

But if a perfect score, than he obviously cannot empathize with the rest of us.

Better not belong to a Conservative Book Club ... or even worse .... receive material from the Knights of Columbus or some other colonialist organization.

Hey, you have to let Swimmer and Leaky into the competition too. While Chuckie the Pig and Dickie's Bitch are heavy contenders, the Ds have a LOT of bench strength, and it's so unfair to rule them out.

Sandra Day O'Connor "unified" America? Huh?

She was commonly the deciding vote causing divisiveness.

She reminded me of that short lived series on CBS called "First Monday" with Joe Mantegna. It was a show about a "moderate" assoc justice struggling with the pressures of being a moderate judge and becoming a target of anything from kidnapping his kids to special interest groups pressuring him to judge their way.

Personally, it showed me how divisive he was...same with O'Connor.
