I'll bet you haven't regretted it at all.

I am so envious of big families. I think they would be such a blessing.

Mom is pushing 80 with no health issues. Of course she drinks and smokes. She had two sons and one daughter. I think my sister has caused my mother more worry than my brother and I.

This strikes me as absolute horse manure. The study was probably funded by population controllers and run by abortionists.

Sure, having a baby is no picnic. But we have a ton of kids, and my wife is as healthy as they come.

Other studies have shown that people with stable marriages and children generally are healthy and live longer. So, take your pick.

In "very" traditional times, lack of sons would decrease parents longevity, due to lack of strong arms to defend the homestead

Sons need more care after birth.

Where the crap did that come from. I've got 2 boys and one girl, had to take care of all of them equally. babies need food, shelter, cleaning and love, regardless of sex. What an idiotic claim.

"The study of women in Matlab, where data has been gathered on about 200,000 people, concluded that there are indeed "long term costs of bearing sons".

LOL, is Matlab a place, or is some math-challenged social science person bragging that they know how to use the Matlab programming language? :)

My great grandmother had 3 sons and 3 daughters who lived to adulthood, and bore two more, one who died in childbirth, and other at age one when one of her children rocked the baby into the fire, and she lived to be 101 (1845-1947).

Giving birth to and raising several sons could be bad for the long-term health of mothers but good for fathers, according to a study published today.

My grandparents had 2 daughters and 5 sons. My grandfather died in his early 60s, my grandmother in her mid-80s.

I guess it's not a hard-and-fast rule.

"Mortality increased by 11 per cent with each son born. There was no association between mortality and the number of daughters."

The last time I looked, mortality was very close to 100%, the sole exception being Elijah, who, as I recall, was carried to heaven in a fiery chariot.

I am an only child. After witnessing siblings' behavior toward one another, I was thankful for my solitude. A good friend of mine is the last of thirteen. Her mother is in wonderful health. As to health, my daughter is the cause for greater stress than my son. She is less inclined to perform tasks as instructed and requires much more supervision. My son is more compliant and attentive to detail. After reading historical accounts of what was required of children (girls of five years darning socks, boys of the same age chopping firewood) we really do expect much less of our children these days.

Feminists will do anything to get rid of males entirely.

Besides, it's Bush's fault.

Yes.... and just like the homosexuals, it's called self extinction.

The title line should say " Feminism is unhealthy and can shorten a woman's life "
