Iran's frightening words let us see enemy for what it really is

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hasn't taken long to show his true colours and now in the words of poet W. H. Auden in September 1, 1939, the clever hopes of a low dishonest decade are expiring.

We are finally seeing the enemy for what it is. As President George W. Bush's "axis of evil" speech warned, and as did Auden 65 years ago, appeasement of evildoers doesn't work.

Ahmadinejad last week declared Israel is a "disgraceful blot" on the world and must be "wiped off" the map.

He and his fanatics may soon have the means to obliterate Israel, too, for Iran is in a rush to grab nuclear weapons.

Ahmadinejad's words were backed up by Seyed Massoud Jazihiri, of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, who described Israel as a "cancerous tumour" on the world. Frankly, most decent individuals would describe Iran itself, under its current mad regime, as a "cancerous tumour" alongside, North Korea, under its equally mad leader Kim Jong-il, who also plans a nuclear arsenal and is threatening the world.

The Iranian president's threat -- no, it's not just a threat, it's a promise -- has even stirred Prime Minister Paul Martin.

Martin's and Jean Chretien's Liberal government, faced with 113 anti-Israeli motions in the UN, supported 78 of them, and simply abstained on the other 35.

Not once, until now, have the Liberals felt for Israel's plight.

Now, a flabbergasted Martin says: "This is the 21st century and Canada will never accept such such hatred, such intolerance and anti-Semitism of this kind."

He added: "We vigorously condemn what the Iranian president said."

That's a bit hypocritical, since the stance of both Martin and his predecessor Chretien has been to ignore time-after-time and year-after-year those similar expressions of hatred against Israel in the UN.

Foreign Minister Pierre Pettigrew also appears to have woken from his slumbers in his apartment in Paris to threats Arab sheikdoms have been making against Israel are real.

"This is becoming just too dangerous," he said. "It's a very explosive combination. Racist ideology and nuclear weapons."

British Prime Minister Tony Blair, whose government certainly doesn't have Canada's shameful anti-Israeli record in the UN, and whose words therefore are surely not hypocritical, expressed "a real sense of revulsion" at Ahmadinejad's plots to see Israel annihilated.

"Their attitude towards Israel, their attitude towards terrorism, their attitude towards the nuclear weapons issue isn't acceptable," said Blair, who also added the western democracies may be forced to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

Actually, that's exactly what Israel itself did in 1981 when its air force performed an incredible feat, flying hundreds of miles at low level, and wiped out Saddam Hussein's Osirak nuclear reactor, sabotaging his plans for an atomic arsenal.

At the time, the UN condemned Israel for its action.

One can't even imagine the grotesque scenario that would have unfolded but for the Israeli assault.

Yet now, the world's democratically elected leaders are finally beginning to imagine what a world would look like with a radical Islamic bomb. Or rather, after an radical Islamic bomb had been launched at some innocent nation.

Even that fawning old fraud, French President Jacques Chirac, found Ahmadinejad's words "senseless and irresponsible" and said Iran "runs the risk of his country being left on the outside by other nations."

So, frighteningly, all that Bush, Vice-President Dick Cheney, Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice have been warning about the three rogue nations -- Iraq until being liberated being one of them -- becomes ever more clearly true.

And, as in the 1930s, when the weak western democracies, led by the Liberal-Left, tried to appease Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler at every touch and turn, including letting him carve up Czechoslovakia in the hope, as Auden noted, he would leave the rest of us alone, our appeasement of radical and rogue nations is coming back to haunt us.

A final word from Ahmadinejad to those of us who will still support Israel: "Anyone who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nations' fury."

Well, just let's see who stands firm in support of decency and the tiny democratic state of Israel, and who runs for their perceived own safety.

Could this be the year that arch-liberal Jean Chretien finally gets it? OK Jean, you got mugged by your liberal reformers who convinced you Israel and the US are bad. Now you know the truth. What are you going to do after the epiphany?

I want to buy a nice car. I am concerned that after a nuclear war, I won't be able to keep it on the road because of all the death and destruction.

Is this a real concern, and should I even bother buying at this time?

Iranian Daily Calls For World Without Zionism, 'Satanic' US Administration "World without Zionism and the great Satan"
Keyhan International
Tuesday, November 1, 2005

President Ahmadinezhad's extremely thoughtful and realistic remarks in preparing the mindset of not just the Iranians but of the Muslim ummah and the rest of the contemporary world for the fast approaching eventuality of the world without Zionism, and of course without the US, has hit Global Arrogance where it badly hurts. He has indeed shattered the shackles that Washington and the West had put on the brains of the Third World politicians and the ordinary people included. He has provided food for thought by busting the make-belief permanency of the illegal entity called Israel and the equally preposterous idea that the US was to stay forever on the world map. The confused reaction from politicians and the so-called analysts of the West is not surprising. It has hit them like a bolt from the blue. It seems to have rudely awakened them and abruptly brought them down to earth from cloud 9 on which they were floating puffed up by their supposed military might and economic power.

After the foam finally settles down and when these poor souls who are deliriously speaking of what they call the isolation of Iran, manage to regain part of their senses to study history and how the Will of God eventually lays low the most mightiest of evil empires, then they will realize that the Iranian President, schooled in the pragmatism of the Father of the Islamic Revolution (the Late Imam Khomeyni), was simply reading the writing on the wall that seems invisible to blighted brains. At any rate, Israel is an illegitimate entity and its existence is a violation of the universally accepted principle of justice.

The Zionists do not belong to this part of the world and were planted in Palestine after World War 1 since Europe was anxious to get rid of its Jewish Problem and the dark-stained record of pogroms against the followers of Judaism. The Muslim World never had such a burden and was living in peace with, and respect for, the few thousand Jews that thrived along with a far greater number of Palestinian Christians until this cancerous tumour was injected forcibly in its midst. Today, nuclear-armed Zionism has assumed dangerous proportions and the sooner the surgery to root out this racist and terrorist entity, which is against the very tenets of Judaism as devout Jews such as the Neutra Karta will vouch the better for not just the Middle East but for the whole world as well.

The Iranian president has been practical enough to follow up his dynamic remarks with a call on the UN to provide peaceful grounds for this painless surgery as suggested earlier by the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamene'i by arranging a referendum for all real inhabitants of Palestine Muslims, Christians and the original Jews or their descendants including the millions living as refugees in neighbouring Arab countries for 57 years. In such a way, based on the vote of the majority an actual and historical country would be restored to its original shape and size with the Islamic city of Bayt al-Maqdis as its capital. This is once in a lifetime opportunity, which UN Secretary General Kofi Annan who is shortly expected in the Islamic Republic, ought not to miss.

If the UN is a real representative body of world nations as it claims, and if it is really independent of big power pressures, then this is the only option available to it for ending the world's chronic crisis. Any lapse would be costly especially in view of the fact that in 1948 the newly founded UN had been forced by its founders to act as midwife to the birth of the illegitimate brat called Israel following years of the British rape of Palestine. As for those Muslim states that in violation of the letter and spirit of Islam have committed, or are committing the sacrilege, of establishing ties with the Zionist non-entity, they are advised to read a bit of history. Certainly, in these days of western-imposed despondency upon them, reflecting on the crusader occupation of Bayt al-Maqdis and the end of the 88-year Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem in 1187 when Muslims (Arabs, Kurds, Turks and Persians) closed ranks, will not be a bad idea. Insha'allah (God Willing), we are on the threshold of the world without Zionism, and very soon without the evil of the satanic US administration that has made life miserable even for American citizens by putting them under the Zionist yoke and dragging them into unwanted wars.

I would stay away from computer-controlled hybrids, and consider a simple 4-banger without AC or power steering. And go for manual windows etc.

Are they offering a HEPA filtered interior yet?

Damascus will go first. I believe that Iran will get her just desserts as well, but Syria has been cruising for a long time, and now has lost a lot of her protection.

What BS. So what is Canada going to do about it? Call for Uncle Sam to save the day while Canada has reduced it's military forces to 60,000 personnel (including an Army of 19,500)? The NYC police force is over twice that size.

There's nothing particularly troublesome about power steering. Ordinary motor oil can serve as a fluid in a pinch.

I would wait until after the flu pandemic. There should be new cars around for everyone.

I've already been touring the affluent areas for the my new house too. (Finders keepers, right?)

I've had a strained relationship with power steering. It doesn't like me. And I don't like the rubbery feel of it. Give me a tight rack and pinion.

"One can't even imagine the grotesque scenario that would have unfolded but for the Israeli assault." And yet an entire leadership of the 'other' political party in the US has firmly discarded the threat of Saddam and bio/chemical weaponry, so much that now they want US to believe the removal of the Saddam regime was a fool's errand which they (and Clinton proved he wouldn't, no matter how grave the danger signs) would not have embarked upon. Personally, I believe millions of Americans are alive today because our elected president went after these bastards in force, else the bio weaponry Saddam had and was building up for AQ use would have already killed millions. But that's just me after witnessing the past decade plus.

Well as long as you stay away from the rag top, a hepa filter would be easy to add. Block off the air intake under the hood and put in an Israeli childrens gas mask system. It has a great filter that is battery powered to keep positive pressure in a small tent for a baby. Just hook that to the air intake and roll up the windows.

Instant NBC rating. (Nuclear, Bio, Chemical) Works great on bus exhaust too... -grin-

Odd, that the rest of the world considers the entire middle east a "blot". Except for Israel, who will take care of Iran if necessary, where the rest of us may be afraid to.

If they ever attack Israel they are the one's to be "wiped off" I hope that's clear to them!
