News Advisory:
WHAT: Press Conference
Free Republic to Speak About MD4BUSH and the Washington Post
Newspaper Involved in Scandal that Goes Beyond Governors Race and Maryland Politics
WHEN: Friday, Nov. 4, 9:30 A.M.
WHERE: 1150 15TH ST., N.W., Washington, D.C., The Sidewalk in front of The Washington Post Bldg.
DETAILS:
FreeRepublic.com, an independent conservative news and activism Web site, will hold a press conference in front of the Washington Post building in downtown Washington, D.C. at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.
FreeRepublic.com, one of the most popular and influential political Web sites, was used by a poster at the forum with the screen name MD4BUSH to play a political dirty trick on another FreeRepublic.com poster. The dirty trick breached the confidentiality of the poster with the screen name NCPAC.
The apparent aim of the dirty trick was to clear the path for Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley to run for Maryland governor while hurting the sitting Governor, Bob Ehrlich, who is running for re-election.
The Washington Post played a key role in the furtherance of this dirty trick. Their role in this scandal has ramifications that go beyond Maryland politics and is reminiscent of Watergate, but with the players' roles reversed.

Yes, Go Kristinn! We shouldn't be surprised at the dirty tricks the WashPost pulls. Yesterday's Wash Post article about the CIA detention centers clearly damaged this country in its war on terror, but they don't care.

O'Malley Rumours
Posted on 07/19/2004 4:37:42 PM EDT by xcullen
There are a lot of rumours going around that one of the principal speakers at the Dem Convention is barely holding together some career threatening info. Martin O'Malley, Mayor of Baltimore, is out of the house due to an affair (or many) and reports are there may be a pregnancy. Now I have got this from two separate sources and they are reliable (and not politically hostile to O'Malley). His father-in-law is pretty powerful guy and his wife is a former judge. Anybody hear anything on this?

Hello. I was just interested in the story. I did a Google search and found the press release. I didn't see it already posted, and I wanted to share.
I've read the forum for awhile, but this was my first post.
Given the circumstances, I understand your suspicions, but don't worry -- I am not a troll.

Excuse us for being suspicious. The link in post #5 is a good one. One one thread I read that Jim and the moderators are Zotting up to 200 trolls per day! That is a number that seem extraordinarily large but may indeed be the case when breaking news events directly or indirectly mention this website.

"one thread I read that Jim and the moderators are Zotting up to 200 trolls per day!"
That rumor is not true and is preposterously inaccurate.
Jimrob said the number is around 20-25/day, and higher during key events.

That number is much more in line with what I would expect. The 200 number appeared on one of the MD4BUSH threads, IIRC.
