Rioters are now shooting at riot cops with real bullets. The French preSS is mystified by this development, real bullets having been banned by Ripoublika Franska decree many moons ago. The French preSS is also mystified that rioting exists at all, happiness and joyful brotherhood having been declared by decree (and redeclared endlessly) to be the general condition of the people. The latest theory by the French preSS on the causes of this violence has something to do with the needless provoking, insulting, and humiliating of a certain portion of the population that would otherwise have been perfectly happy and law abiding.
That's not backing up, that is a special technique know as "Un Gran Foq du Clustaire."

A bloody-handed caravan raider named "mohammed" invented a murderous, expansive political ideology disguised as a syncretistic religion, and began spreading it throughout his neighbourhood by fire and the sword ... for 1300 years, his followers have been carrying on the tradition.
They're now offering the French the choice of converting, being killed, ... or killing the mohammedans.
The bit about the mohammedan "youths" getting fried in a substation is just an excuse.
I agree. It's an war against Western civilization that the French are treating as just a social disturbance.

It is terrible to see. Chaos is winning and they haven't called for a curfew? Martial law? The Army in? Nothing .... Denial is harder when it is happening in your streets, I would think. And where is the UN, aren't they supposed to help us all get along? Truly disgusting.
Did anyone see, on Le Monde's website, a place for Letters to the Editor? I speak French passably, was going to comment, but I see no place for that??

I commented to my husband that the French will probably capitulate to the Muslim extremists and institute Sharia Law and create a present day version of the Vichy gov't.
Seriously, though: if it weren't those two idiots getting fried in the substation, it would have been something else. Riots happen when people want to riot ... the alleged cause (whatever it may be) is always just an excuse.
