Well, if a little heat wave and no AC killed 10-15,000 of them, I guess a Katrina sized hurricane would do in about 100 K of them.

Now lets see,...would I miss them? Give me a minute to think about it.

It isn't a problem with muslims...it is a problem with Islam. It is an evil that reaches out to the once faithful...and pulls them back into its evil.

It is this evil religion that connects people all round the globe with the darkness of the 7th century. Islam is retrogressive...but it is powerful. It's foundation is violence and misogyny. Islam is Satanic.

French authorities need some snipers. Lots of snipers.

If half a dozen guys don't come back from the riot each night, the lesson (eventually) will be learned.

I was having the same thought! Eight days of mayhem, shooting at police and firemen, burning everything in sight, and ONLY 143 arrested! No deadly force whatsoever. Now, the Police Chief is being criticized for his harsh response. Anywhere else these would be considered acts of insurrection! What idiots!

Thanks for the citation.
I remember reading this blog in the past but hadn't saved or bookmarked it.
The info here is worlds ahead of the media tripe.
I could still do with more relevant blogs, if anyone has ideas. But I suppose that might be expecting too much actual initiative from the French.

"No wonder the French only lasted 2 weeks when Hitler attacked."

Like the old addage goes....hey I'm no fighter, I'm a lover.

But lest we forget, there where many a brave fighting French resistance, who where ready and did die to take back their land from that horrible monster. Obviously they needed a little bit of help. And we do have to admit French reconstituted army did fight under the 1st and 3rd Armies, once things where put into play. So we can't say they didn't try.

If they didn't quell this by the 2nd night then they have encouraged it

I actually gave them four nights of riots before I came to the same conclusion. After all it is france. :-)

Cue up Mozart's Requium on all the radio stations.

Isn't that what the last radio station in France is playing at the end of Camp of the Saints?

Even if the lesson is not learned, at least you'll be getting rid of the troublemakers.

Excellent artwork and historical quote ("whiff of grapeshot"). And you are right, it will not be seen in this French Republic. They need to study up on that Greek philosopher, Testiclese.

I wondered about that too. Is it possibly too dangerous for our intrepid reporters? Or do they just not care? When you get right down to it, real news on this topic is pretty scarce. I was trying to find a blog or some more up-to-date info, but haven't had any luck yet.

This is an example of actual reporting from the blog that you do not see in the media:
Portions of French media are being overrun by true public sentiment (just as the Establishment was overrun by popular ire during the referendum on the European Constitution). Talk radio and web forums are coming down squarely in favor of Interior Minister Sarkozy with calls for a heavy hand when dealing with rioters. The French preSS is having none of this. Libération PropagandaStaffel and Le Monde Al-Jazeera on the Seine are dripping with compassion for humiliated French youth. On the TF1 - LCI news site, flagrant censorship in the face of dissenting opinions is barely concealed behind a statement asking readers to be patient because the web forum is overloaded and cannot take anymore comments. Rather than accept any further comments in favor of law and order (running 10-1 against the rioters before the shutdown), they prefer to close the forum:

Enough is e-friggin'-nough! Those Frenchies better get some balls and the 'tude of their ancestors, Charles Martel and those guys who wore long beards and horned helmets, and start kicking the Shiite out of those muzzie savages, and send'em back to the Turd World cesspools where they belong!!!
