HALF MOON BAY, Calif. Warning signs are up along a popular surfing spot after a shark took a bite out of a surfer's surf board.
The attack took place just before 5:00 last night in an area called Maverick's surf break.
Surfer Tim West was not hurt, but the shark left a sizable bite and one tooth in his board.
The deputy harbor master at Pillar Point Harbor says its the second shark attack in the area in the past three years.
In that attack, a shark estimated to be 19-feet long bit a surfer's surf board and bit into his wetsuit. That surfer was not seriously hurt.
It's not known how big the shark was in yesterday's attack.

HALF MOON BAY, Calif. If his luck were any worse, they'd have to call it Half Man Bay.

If you mean Gary larrson, I used to live next door to him at Kittatinny Lake, New Jersey. Never went outside, but it could be because of my weekend parties.

Exactly--these attacks ALWAYS happen at dawn or dusk. That's when sharks FEED, people! Don't be stupid and go in the water then.

Here is what a 12-15 foot shark can do to a surfboard...
