I fly today.
I intend to be there. I'll be bothering BillF and BufordP in order to get there.

We had great attendance. Members of Rolling Thunder rolled in. They were from all over the country!
A female soldier thanked us for being there each week and said it made her angry to see the the pinkos outside WR. She said she wanted to tell them to GO AWAY.

There's no chapter like DC Chapter...Great Freep!
I suggested in my column this week that people who can't make it for whatever reason but still want to help to drop off with the good guys a gift certificate for a sign or print shop for leaflets and great signs.
Some reasons I have heard are "It's just not my thing," "I'm afraid I'll be arrested," "I don't want to be attacked by liberals," and "I don't have time." I understand about that. It's good to keep asking though, like you are because some are just waiting for the chance! For instance, I'm so busy with my weekly column and protest advice website along with my regular job I miss a lot of them! Talk about irony!

Would you please be quiet and stop apologizing for everybody?Looking through the thread without the time pressure that I had before the Friday FReep, I don't seem to have apologized or said "I'm sorry" to anyone on the thread. Show me where I did apologize or you should be big enough to apologize for mischaracterizing my posts.
My posts pointed out that some people were misinterpreting what others were posting, which is the same thing that you did, albeit with sarcasm, in #71. Clarifying is not the same as apologizing.

Wayne, thanks for the kind words.
After being honored to have Spiff from AZ FReep with us, and after reading some of your posts, I can see that you have some great, spirited FReepers in AZ.

I go to Walter Reed when I can. This is very important.
Not only for the wounded soldiers. Unfortunately, the front line of the war against an ignorant religous cult (islam) includes Walter Reed and everywhere else in America.
Standing up to these people is not only necessary, it is an act of war.

I made this suggestion in another WRAMC Code Pink FReep thread, but I'll make it again here.
I want to put together a DVD that includes the "Thank You" videos discussed and available HERE as well as the videos of Saddam's brutal torturing and executions which used to be available online along with other patriotic and brief videos. Then, if someone or some persons in the D.C. Chapter has a portable DVD player or players, they can play these DVDs at their counter protests. I wish I had done this in time for the White House Code Pink FReep, but I could not find the Saddam torture tapes.
Also, I want to suggest again that a tri-fold flier be created that includes the truth about Code Pink, quotes from their leaders, and links to further information. These could be distributed to anyone needing further information.
You guys do such a great job. I want to continue to help you do even better. Keep up the great work. I can't be with you every Friday night (and at other FReeps) but I'm there in spirit. If I'm in the D.C. area, I will not hesitate to come back out to stand with you - even in "heavy humidity" conditions.
