To: Thank You Rush

In our little town, the only thing we knew about our teachers personally was "Mr." or "Mrs." and a few "Misses".

My town was also a very small town - in upstate NY. In addition to the other points I raised and your comments, I also recall that each female teacher was dressed in a suit or other appropriate attire for the job and the male teachers were dressed in suits with ties. Today it's difficult to know the difference between a teacher and a student entering a school by the way they are dressed.
Probably no difference in their mentality either.

Progress? No in this old mind.
