Mark Steyn: Wake up, Europe, you've a war on your hands
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | November 6, 2005 | Mark Steyn

Posted on 11/06/2005 3:14:50 AM PST by Puzzleman

Ever since 9/11, I've been gloomily predicting the European powder keg's about to go up. ''By 2010 we'll be watching burning buildings, street riots and assassinations on the news every night,'' I wrote in Canada's Western Standard back in February.

Silly me. The Eurabian civil war appears to have started some years ahead of my optimistic schedule.

...maybe you inadvertently left out BBQ'd, steamed, roasted, and in Biblical terms, torn asunder.

Now, more than ever, we need to see JF'nK's "plan".

From article: "this grim summation of the new Europe: ''The sweet dream of universal cultural compatibility has been replaced by the nightmare of permanent conflict.''

Very sad, for we will be standing with the French at the big one.
Not by choice but because we must!

If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.

Winston Churchill

It's not just the Democrats:

What are we to make, then, of the astonishing silence, the utter lack of accountability and the absence of any apparent shift in electoral strategy that has accompanied the meltdown of the one of Bush political team’s major initiatives: Its effort to recruit Muslim- and Arab-American voters (and donors) by pandering to foreign-funded organizations led by radical leftists and even pro-“Islamists” -- despite the fact that most members of those communities neither are radical nor subscribe to the virulently intolerant, and often violently anti-American, tenets of those who promote Islamism.

This courting formally got underway back in 2000, when senior advisors to then-Governor Bush invited representatives of highly problematic groups like the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), the American Muslim Council (AMC) and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to Austin. On the presidential campaign trail that year, he met with and received support from an Islamist activist named Sami Al-Arian and embraced Mr. Al-Arian’s personal pet project – the prohibition of the use of “secret evidence” by federal law enforcement.

From here.

And here.

Both parties are courting Ohio Muslims

I hope the french people are not to pacified to wait for the government to fix the problem. I hope the french people have the cajones to take on these animals themselves. I worry they are like sheep (shades of N.O.) from being on the dole to long. Are there any french heroes left?

For half a decade, French Arabs have been carrying on a low-level intifada against synagogues, kosher butchers, Jewish schools, etc. The concern of the political class has been to prevent the spread of these attacks to targets of more, ah, general interest. They seem to have lost that battle.
Just an aside here, a point off-the-main-subject, but a point I've written here in FR several times:

Any Jewish citizen of France who remains in that country deserves what he or she gets (though the same doesn't apply to minor children forced to remain with their blinkered parents).

In the 1930s, Jews living in Europe could be excused for not taking Nazis at their word. This is not 1930. If you don't take Nazis at their word, and continue to live in a country where Nazis are gaining power daily, then I'm sorry, you deserve your obvious coming execution. You are, simply put, too stupid to live.

It's just that I have limited amounts of ammo and have determined that the "targets of interest" begin with the Democrat Party. Once that scourge is eradicated I will be able to focus on the rest. ;)

I can agree with that. :)

What I find so funny and sad about this is everyone in this world is waiting on the same thing to stop radical Islam.

They want Israel to take out their dirty laundry. I honestly believe that Jews are God's chosen children and God created the Jews to keep his buddy Mohammeds kids in check.

As for France, I hope it continues to burn. I will never forgive them for stabbing the US in the back.

They're in Brussels, where Belgian police officers are advised not to be seen drinking coffee in public during Ramadan...

I had no idea such concessions were being made for the Islamofascists.
