Not a troll, but also not consistent with the rules. But on the other hand, it's a slow Sunday night.
With what this president has had to put up with (worse than Carter and his dems), with a Pubby House and Seante yet linguini spines throughout, this president deserves his own mountain, no sharing!
Nonsense. They'd build an organic nursery farm before an oil refinery. We can't drill in ANWR because of all the precious caribou. Apparently freedom from foreign oil dependence isn't as important as protecting some deer.
I agree.
However, if you are for real (we're a pretty skeptical bunch and really don't appreciate being played), you sure dove right into the deep end. Now you're going to have to prove yourself the hard way.
I wish you good luck. It is not going to be easy.
I know what you mean. I still get clobbered every now and then. But a little suffering is always good for the soul. LOL!
I second the motion.
Puh-leeeeese!
While I am not one to disparage our President, I do think that he will have a long wait in line for Mount Rushmore ... President Ronald Reagan is at the head of the line.
I pray that the President can continue to demonstrate the strength in the face of the typical Beltway elite that is determined to thwart him at every turn. What that man has to deal with on a daily basis, he deserves a break.
Lincoln in particular was absolutely hated and abhorred by a great number of Americans (and still is today). But undoubtably he was among the greatest, keeping the union together when all seemed lost.
I firmly believe that George W. Bush will go down as the greatest president in the history of our Republic so far. Greater than even Washington, Lincoln and Reagan. For Bush is one of the very few presidents who do the right thing regardless of public opinion. No other president would have responded to 9/11 by destroying the Taliban in Afghanistan and throwing Saddam Hussein out of power in Iraq. No other president would stay the course so resolutely in the face of such stiff opposition - because he knew it was the right thing to do.
History is already proving Bush right on the war against terror. Witness the chaos in France. That is the fate of those who believe appeasement is the way to deal with Islam.
For those who don't realize it, we are in World War Three right now. Imagine if Franklin Roosevelt had the guts to take on Hitler and the Nazis in the 1930s. Imagine how many lives would have been spared.
Well, this is the equivalent of what Bush is doing right now. Instead of waiting until the terrorists gained the upper hand, Bush decided to take them on now and damn the political risks. It is just the right thing to do.
"It should go without saying that when you have Christ in your corner and you rely on the Bible, you're in better shape than the secular elites who think they have everything figured out."
Clearly zotilisccious.
What else is the DailyKos saying these days?
Jesse Jackson has got his heart set on the next opening on Mount Rushmore.
Who are we to disappoint him?
You sound like a straight-shooter to me, but you have to pretty much run the gauntlet, first. :-)
Welcome, in any case!
No it's fine. People in this room are suspicious of Liberals posing as conservatives and posting stuff to make us look looney. In DemocraticUnderground.com they don't need any help looking like unhinged loons. Some "trolls" attempt to infiltrate Freerepublic so they can attempt to make us look bad.
Vanities are ok, but you are on the main board. I like the way you think. You'll be fine here.
Bush is unique in that history will judge his effectiveness by the implementation and effectiveness of his vision. Bush's vision, unfortunately will be at the mercy of his predecessors. For example, Bush's long term policies could be seriously deformed by the self involved narcissism of another Clinton administration.

not much on humor are you?
I meant, the Dems would destroy Mt Rushmore before they would allow any type of honors to W
LOL. Keeps us humble...
Most of all, it keeps me reading the post before I respond. I used to wonder how people did that, because as a lurker reading is all you've got.
Now I understand. My itchy posting finger sometimes gets in the way and I have to remind myself that "just because I can" is not a good reason to do much of anything.
; D
Yes. By forty years. FOAD.
bttt
I can imagine that with the last year and the continued assault on all things conservative, it's perfectly natural to be paranoid and see enemies at every turn. Which is why it's imperative for conservatives to band together. We've finally achieved control of the levers of power. The liberals and the media can't knock us off our perch, only we can.
I think the Miers nomination was a perfect example of this. I wish the President had nominated Judge Alito the first time around, but I didn't like how messy and public the fight that should have been kept more private.
