Author-activist claims Bush stole 2004 election (Could be a standing headline)
Exeter News-Letter ^ | 11/08/05 | Ron Dupuis

Posted on 11/08/2005 12:59:06 PM PST by wilco200

EXETER - Several local community action groups, including Democracy for New Hampshire, the Seacoast Progressive Alliance and True Majority sponsored a civic action event at Phillips Exeter Academy on Sunday.

The main speaker was award-winning author and nationally recognized environmental and election-protection activist Harvey Wasserman.

"It may sound corny but I feel people should try to leave the world a better place than what they saw when they came in," said Herb Moyer, one of the event’s primary organizers. "I believe in fairness, I believe in keeping our environment healthy, I believe that people should be actively engaged in keeping our government honest, keeping their country safe and doing things that are right."

Moyer said that he feels the country has entered a very serious period of time.

"We have the war in Iraq, a vice president who is desperately trying to convince the U.S. Senate not to pass a bill that would outlaw torture, and we have lots of people who have lots of evidence that elections are being stolen left and right, especially in the swing state of Ohio, which is the subject of Mr. Wassermann’s speech," said Moyer.

After a few songs by local entertainer and activist Charlie Proux, a few speeches by officials of sponsoring groups, Harvey Wasserman took the stage to address the attendees of well over 100 people.

Once known for his fiery rhetoric, Wasserman at this particular event was not only calm and deliberate in choosing his words but also very entertaining. This atmosphere was supplemented by the exuberant presence of his 6-year-old daughter, who not only seemed to be everywhere but also brought a chuckle at times from the audience.

Wasserman started out talking about the Seabrook nuclear power plant and his involvement with the Clamshell Alliance.

"Anyone who tells you that the Clamshell Alliance didn’t succeed in stopping Seabrook doesn’t take into account that it was never finished," he said. "When you see pictures of the station with the two domes, you have to realize that one of them is just a rusting hull that was never completed and consequently never used all because of the efforts of the people who marched, and sang, and sat in."

The main topic of the afternoon was the presidential election of 2004. Wasserman claims that through a series of events orchestrated by the Republican Party, the providers of electronic voting machines, the news media and President Bush himself, the Ohio election was stolen, and Bush should not occupy the White House.

Specifically Wasserman stated that: "Party members and Republicans thwarted smooth election procedures in heavily Democratic precincts that would have gone for Kerry.

"Inner-circle Bush supporters provided the electronic voting machines used, and even tampered with results by pre-programming," he said. "A Bush relative who worked for a major news outlet made calls to other media people late into the night to discourage early results, thereby questioning Kerry’s lead."

President Bush was in Ohio the day of the election and had a direct hand in the whole operation."

At the completion of the hour-and-a-half speech, Wasserman and his direct supporters manned a table dispensing literature and offering several of his 11 authored books for sale, including his latest, "How the GOP Stole America’s 2004 Election & is Rigging 2008."

Although most audience members agreed with the text of the speech, a few doubted the extent of a conspiracy.

"The election was definitely stolen, and Bush was never elected by the people of America, but I doubt how organized and up the ladder the conspiracy goes," was one comment made by an unidentified member of the audience.

I think it is time that the VRWC came clean and admitted that YES, we do control voting machines in every crucial precinct and in every swing state. Leftists may as well face the fact that they are NEVER going to win another election. Leftists may as well go fishing or play a round of golf or take in the latest movie on election day for all the good their votes will do them. There is no point to contributing to democrat candidates or causes or in voting as they will ALWAYS LOSE due to the iron control the VRWC has on the apparatus of voting.

They left out part-time dog catcher and one-story elevator operator.

It must be fun to go around with unkempt hair pretending to care about the World, environment, etc. Meanwhile you are espousing incredibly stupid policies that are so bad for people, they are actually immoral. Loved the line about how proud he was to have ruined a power plant. After all, what would we need one of those for?

I think it's hysterical the way Republicans rig these things. I mean, they keep it just close enough to really excite the dems and then pull it away at the last moment. That's what they're doing today.

That PMDS has been going around lately...I think we're getting over it.

Nothing like an out of control Liberal Media and some Dim temper tantrums to bring us together.

I got a blank stare from an anti-nuke nut once when I asked her why she would climb over barbed wire fences to get into a nuclear plant if the plant was so dangerous.

Good One! lol

Reminds me when during the early prez campaign season in 2004 Rush was talking about Dean. He said no one hardly knew of him outside of political junkies. He said something like, Dean only has 30% name-recognition...in his family.

Oh, no...NEVER complain about the cats.

(Just his morning, one of them left a wet little present for me to step in as I got out of the shower. Of course, it was my fault)
