Some good news tonight
So Ohio is still a red state!! Whoop whoop!! :D
What are those issues?
They were funded by People for the (un)American Way and other Leftist groups:
Issue 2: No fault absentee voting (to make vote fraud easier)
Issue 3: Campaign finance reform
Issue 4: redistricting
Issue 5: Putting election supervision under an unelected, unaccountable board of 9 hacks
Great news from Texas tonight!!! Prop #2 (Marriage between a man & woman only) passes with 74% of the vote.
got a good website to track? I've been on wkyc.com - seems sloooow
So, to keep score, Ohio and Texas are going our way. Virginia and New Jersey, not so well in the Governor's race.
Still another two hours before we find out if my future is in California, or Nevada.
That is good news. I work in a nursing home. The residents voted absentee a couple weeks ago. A few of them asked me about the issues today. They said they voted no on all of them because there was too much to read. I escorted the two election workers (rep. & dem), and saw how long those ballots were. That did them in concerning the elderly vote.
Looking good in Ohio. Congrats!

Great job, Ohio Freepers! This Hoosier will see you at the polls on May 2, when I volunteer for J. Kenneth Blackwell in one of the border counties.
It's still early in Ohio. The thing says only 200,000+ votes. Bush-Kerry combined with over 4 million, if I remember correctly.
Today's turnout will be half of that, maybe 2 million, if your 4 million number is accurate.
I heard some sniveling libs saying that if these issues had been the law in 2004 that John Kerry would be in the White House.
Heh-heh.
Down in flames liberal garbage.
bump
With over 400,000 votes in, issues 2-5 are tanking now 60/40. Looks like a typical Democrat performance in an off year Ohio election.
The Issues are losing in counties like Mahoning which went big for Kerry.
2-5 are going down it is over.
They are gathering petition signatures here in FL to put something like 5 on the ballot here.
YES! w000t!
What was that line about a breeze in a hurricane? :D
The lines were really short today. Correction. I don't think there were any lines.
I am not suprised about NJ. VA I was hopeful - but it looked like Kilgore lost momentum about two weeks out.
>>> Virginia and New Jersey, not so well in the Governor's race. <<<
Replacing one 'Rat with another...not really a big deal.
Mahoning county democrats came out against issues 4 and 5....and maybe 2 and 3 I forget about those two. The mayor of Youngstown even wrote editorials ridiculing issue 4.
No lines when I voted at 840am today in a Columbus suburb.
It'll never pass in Florida either. People don't like having their right to vote taken away, even the right to vote for chief election official. But let them waste their time and money on it.
No line at noon in a far eastern burb of Cleveland.
Issue 1 is passing 54% - 45%.

Thwack. You lose again, Soros.
In Virginia, Kilgore had no oomph -- woooden personality. Like a Tom Ridge. Kilgore was a poor choice -- like Bob Dole was for President versus Clinton. Kaine was Mr. Personality in comparison to Kilgore, was well liked in his home district, and had no glaring negatives.
In NJ -- well, (1) It's a Dem State, Dem unions potent. (2) Forrestor's pro-abort, anti-gun stances keep significant numbers of consevatives away from polls when there were no major other issues this election to bring them in. (3) This is important, I think -- people hate to bring a non-corrupt man into a den of corruption, because they don't want to be responsible for his becoming corrupted. In such situations they prefer someone already corrupted, or someone like a Dewey (when he ran at the NY state level), or a Grover Cleveland, who has a demonstrated record of standing up to corruption. Forrestor did not have those proven corruption-fighting points. People didn't want to feed his innocence to the sleazoidilic NJ Governorship.
When In Doubt, Vote No.
You can say that again! My county (Allen) has 100% of their votes in. Issue 1 won by 51%. We defeated the rest of them by margins of 71-75%. We did good.
We Ohioans don't take too kindly to outsiders like Soros.
What is issue 1 ?
Youngstown's mayor was a childhood friend of mine. His big sis and I were best friends. He is a nice guy, even if he is a dem. He supported Bush last tiem, if you remember.
George McKelvey is his name.
Guernsey County voted down 1-5 from 70 to 77%. RON thought they could outsmart the voter.

Good for you guys! Unemployment is high here, so the idea of jobs appealed to voters. Issue 1 barely made it, but the big message got out! I had my doubts a week ago, but what a wonderful surprise!
Sorry about that, 1 is passing in GC. 55% were in favor. Missed the '2' there.
Yup :D
I was bumming about some of those issues passing today. For this Ohian it's a great election day. Plus my city just replaced two spendthrifts with two conservatives on the city council.
Looks like the only thing a billionaire Socialist can influence is NH. Ohio made a statement
I'm so suprised......NOT!
My computer feels dirty after visiting that site.
The fight is only begining to save our state. Going to be another hard fought year ahead of us.
My county (Allen)
Could it be? Haven't heard anyone refer to "Allen county" for many, many moons - back when I was a wee lad in Spencerville. Howdy neighbor.
These returns are truly the most consequential of the night.
Ken Blackwell will lead us to victory and clean up the mess caused by the RINO's and Taft's cronies.
tEXAS PASSED THE SAME SEX MARRAGE BAN!!
woot!

I lived in Spencerville from 1980-1987, or around that. I'm originally from Auglaize County...another neighbor! And howdy to you, too!
Wonderful news! Many Thanks to the citizens of Ohio!
