Tell me about it. I'm stuck in the belly of the beast. I see utterly STUPID people... they surround me. Blood-thirty abortion lovers and pro-union thuggery. "Baaa-a-a-a-a-a" go the sheep.

It's time for the final solution. It's time to break up California.

Southern Ohio isn't too bad. Cincinnati maybe? :) Then there's always Washington state where maybe if enough conservatives moved up that way they could take back power from Seattle!

There is another approach. Identify key exurbs that are already conservative and grown the heck out of them.

just sign the tax increases into place, have a press conference and tell the people he is giving them what they voted for, resign as governor, and go back and make T4. I like that idea. Sometimes, the only way to teach a lesson is to let people burn their own fingers.

Put it on the ballot again. Keep putting them on the ballot until it bankrupts the teacher's union when they fight them.

I'm a comedy writer, so L.A. is where I have to be to make a living, right? I went out there and after three days, I couldn't wait to leave. I came back to Dallas, went back into radio, started my own radio humor prep service, and now write what I want with no spoiled, capricious celebrities able to fire me if they don't like my Ted Kennedy jokes.
While I was in California, I visited with a friend from Vegas who was there to oversee the building of some apartments. He had a condo right on Huntington Beach, and he hated it. He wanted to shoot the surfers who noisily congregated under his window at 6 a.m., and when his bosses offered him a $25,000 bonus, he told them to just hold it because he'd pay more taxes on it than he'd make. He told me he was counting the minutes until he could get out of that state run by socialist idiots.
BTW, this was 20 years ago. I can only imagine what it must be like now. I recommend Texas. Good weather, friendly people, Republican-run government, no state income tax or earthquakes, wonderful food, and the housing in Dallas is the most undervalued urban real estate in America. Just avoid Austin or the border, and you'll be happy.

Nancy Pelosi would be perfect for the role of the grotesque alien in the next predator movie. She's perfect! Back in the day of SF pulps with lurid covers (I'm thinking 30s and 40s), aliens were affectionately known to fans as B.E.M.s -- Bug-Eyed Monsters. Pelosi fits that description to a 'T.'

Exactly... Arnold should have told the 'great citizens of kalifoorneah' they were a bunch of idiots and announced the huge tax increase pronto!
To: Antoninus
Sadly, this election demostrates that California has reached the socialist tipping point where there are enough people on the public dole as to effectively put them in control of the state
Nope, the public dole isn't the culprit. The welfare crowd doesn't vote. Government is the largest employer in the state. Government workers simply have more votes than non government workers. Allowing civil servants to unionize has resulted in the tyranny of the majority that is bringing capitalism down.

Yes, the voters now have no one to blame but themselves. Well, not *all* the voters. Check out the totals of those of us who voted to support reform then do a little math.

Here's the whole quote:
"We've got to rebuild... we've got to rebuild our infrastructure. It is so much that is needed.
"We need more roads. We need more bridges. We need more highways. We need more hospitals. We need more schools. We need more nurses, more teachers, more firefighters, more police officers. We need more affordable housing. We need more energy, more water. We need more of everything. And I recognize that we also need more bipartisan cooperation to make it all happen. And I promise I will deliver that."

Uh, that's what I meant. The "public dole" includes government workers as well as welfare recipients.
