(CNSNews.com) - A Fox News Channel documentary on "global warming," set to air Sunday night, provides only the liberal take on the controversial issue and was approved after environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. reportedly "dragged" Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes to a lecture by former Vice President Al Gore, "kicking and screaming."
Clay Rawson, the Fox News Channel producer of the hour-long special titled "The Heat Is On: The Case of Global Warming," told Cybercast News Service Wednesday that the project "was a little bit different for us.
"Often on Fox News Channel, we present both sides, according to our 'fair and balanced' motto, but this is the global warming story," Rawson said. "We do make it clear that this is one side of the issue through inclusion of a disclaimer," he added. The documentary is said to ignore scientific skeptics who believe that human activity is not responsible for catastrophic climate change.

Fair and Balanced will take a poke in the eye tonight. If they maintain a policy like this, they will watch as their viewership slips away and they become just another ABCBSNBCNN et. al.

Wow, if that's true... I didn't know Ailes was a shallow idiot.

Global warming is probably real, but I don't believe it is caused by man. It is caused by normal temperature cycles.

Fox news management should look at the stock of the NY Slimes, Wa Compost and Chicago/Tribune to see what happen to bearers of the left's lies:

NYT = NY Slimes
WPO = Washington Post
TRB = Chicago Tribune and LA Slimes

Those environmentalist wackos told me when I was in kindergarten that the polar ice caps were going to melt. At last inspection, they were still there! I'm considerably older than that now. They have yet to be right. Blow 'em off!

I saw this show advertised on Fox this morning. Fox is becoming harder and harder to watch. They started out with a good idea...sort of like MTV. MTV was great when it started back in '80 or '81, then some leftist got hold of it and now MTV stinks. Same thing's happening to Fox. There was a time when I watched Fox for at least 8 to 10 hours a day. Now I'm down to less than 30 mins. I will not be watching this show.

Am I the only one who's noticed a shift to the left by FNC lately?
I figure they're ramping up for the percieved DNC tidal wave that's supposed to be coming.
This isn't affecting Britt Hume's show, but the regular newscast portions have seemed awfully liberal to me lately.

Why would "fair and balanced" take a poke in the eye? The network is clearly slanted right. The presentation of one show that's off the reservation is a poke in the eye?

Their "fair and balanced" reporting already has a black eye.....it started quite some time ago.
This "new" policy only confirms what many outspoken critics of Fox have been saying for a good 12 months or longer.

You want to know something funny? In the wee hours of the morning when I am reading the news and resonding to my email, I thought I would write E.D. Hill a pithy little note because she started running off at the mouth about how she is really environmentally concious in her daily living. I almost put my foot in the tube after that one. I told Fox News that they have lost a viewer in me if they are going to start putting that environmentalwacko crap out on the airwaves.

I think they should put a disclaimer at the bottom of the screen throughout that says:
"This documentary only details one crackpot point of view that limits the scope to a few hundred years. Please take which a boulder sized grain of salt."

she got pretty warm during her growing years also. Most don't realize the majority of Nth America was under several thousand feet of sea water. There was an ocean went from the gulf of Mexico all the way up to the northern most point of Canada. West TX at 2300 ft above sea level is just an ancient sea bed.
My question is where did all the water go?
I've got a couple of questions I'd love to see answered.
Whats the lowest sea level we have record of, and whats the highest.

The network is clearly slanted right.Clearly, there are those watching the same network as you that have different views as to whether they are "right, left or middle of the road."
Personally, having a long enough history as a liberal and being able to sniff out bias in either direction, I have felt they were closer to center (mostly right center) than any other network I've seen.

I agree. I have an article from a retired geologist that talks about our increasing temperature. Our temps now are actually 1 degree C cooler than 150 years ago and 2 degrees C cooler than 1000 years ago. The earth actually went through a mini ice age from 1450 to 1850 that we are still recovering from. Our temperatures are still climbing from that time.
It all depends on what time period you are comparing to.
The article is in the Minnkota Messenger magazine, July/August 2005 and was written by John Bluemle.
http://www.minnkota.com/Documents/messenger/2005%20JulAug%20Messenger.pdf
It is on pages 6 & 7. Pretty interesting article.

I find it a surprise. I wouldn't have thought they'd do such a blatant one sided piece on something as questionable as global warming theory. What other one sided DNC propaganda commercials disguised as a documentary can you think of?

But they really think a lot of people will tune in to see the same old yadda-yadda-yadda on globarl warming from The Usual Suspects?

What I would like to see is a breakdown of the "scientists" that are studying this and exactly where the money comes from that puts food on their table and gas in their cars.
How much of this is paid for by government grants and university funds, and how many would lose their meal ticket if it was ever disproved.

When I first saw the ad for it, I thought "from the title it sounds like it's going to be one sided but Fox wouldn't do that" so I thought I'd try to find out more about it. Shame on them for just promoting an agenda. Are they going to just tell Hannity that when he argues with Kennedy Jr on Hannity and Colmes that he's wrong and the science is in? Just accept it and move on?

Am I the only one who's noticed a shift to the left by FNC lately? Fox is going to do the same thing that CNN did, start out conservative, then slowly turn liberal. I submit to all this thesis, that it is virtually impossible for an entertainment/news service (ie, MSM, including Fox), to not aquire a liberals slant. It is a byproduct of a function of the entertainment/news, that is, to report on what is WRONG. Bad news is good news. Therefore, it leads to liberalism, because liberalism is the philosophy of those who see the cup as half full. As you are exposed to all this "bad news", you slowly become more and more liberal. Of course, this is a generalization, but I think it holds true probably in at least 80% of those involved in the MSM.
