Isn't that a great word? It means the letters of the alphabet written in their traditional order, which is sort of how it is pronounced.

Est-ce que vous parlez italian? Espagnol? Français?

Abecedario - there's a cool pop song by the duo Sin Bandera about the ABC's of love - have you heard it?

No matter how simple and plain you write it, there are those on this board who will only read into what you write what they want to read into it and think about it. I refuse to indulge them in doubtful disputations. The self-important erudite smart retorts and one-liners they tap out on the keyboard are only designed to attempt to mock the Almighty and make us think we are talking to solid stumps in the swamps. If you write red, they read green, if you write black, they read white and call you racist.

If Pat Robertson is really a prophet perhaps he should be lowered into a cistern for a while like Jeremiah. That should keep him quiet for a few days.

Permissive will suggests no aim at all necessarily. It suggests removal of the protective hand of Almighty God. Christ was harder on the corrupt religious leaders in His time than on the prostitutes and sinners; He extremely disliked hypocrisy. . while warning the sinners to go and sin no more.

I didn't hear about that particular incident; however, I tend to also wonder about the primrose path of a comfortable, carnal, hypocritical sort of country club "Churchianity" that has gone just as far off the track as the old religiosity and love of money and obtaining it under the guise of religious "pull" with God which Jesus condemned in His time. - So, yeah. I WONDER about that particular incident, too, now that you describe it to me. I wonder and God knows. Comforting.

Pat Robertson in no way speaks for me as a Christian. If he wants to point out actions that would anger God, why don't he first look at himself and his show the 700 Club. My Sister, a very strong Christian once became a paying member of the 700 club. She would make monthly payments to the club. When she came under financial hardship because of her asthmatic child's massive Doctor bills she could no longer afford the payments to the 700 Club, so stopped making them. You would of thought she had stopped paying on a credit card or something. She started getting late notices in the mail and harassing collection phone calls. It took her a long time to take care of the situation and end her membership commitment.
To: Murp
Yes you are right Murp. On that issue, I dissagree with Robertson. God does call His people back to Himself and often will use " plagues " if you will. I also did not agree with him in saying " Don't bother to call out on God"...I think that could really be misinterpreted. God ALWAYS has His hand out to redeem! I think Roberston may be thinking of the Baal showdown when it was said to " call louder" to your gods"!!!! See if they will answer! Hope this makes sense.

All he said was for the good people of Dover to be consistent: Don't turn to God when bad times hit since when they had the opportunity to simply acknowledge the possiblity that the world just may have been created rather than come into existence by sheer happenstance, then they are on their own when and if some unpleasant circumstances find their way to Dover.
Ah, so Pat's tirade was based upon a dishonest misrepresentation of what the now deposed school board members did and an arrogant assumption about why the school board members were voted out. Now I understand.

You are either a complete and total moron for assuming that jess35 was trying to seriously pass off the quote that he or she provided as being your words or you are a shameless liar who is trying to change the subject when the filthiness of your original attack is exposed.
My money is on you being both.
