Oh beautiful forspacious skies...America, America, God shed his grace on thee, and crown'd thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.

But it's supposed to be so easy for the President to confront these liers, in congress.

Excellent point!

I agree!

And even though NYC is liberal, you gotta admit it's fun to visit...especially in December.

Don't forget that NY was the first capital of our nation!

Trivia time: The City of St. Charles was the first capitol of Missouri.

Okay, even though in 1976 my biggest problem was which lunchbox to buy, I have to say...

...you looked good in uniform. :-)

"But it's supposed to be so easy for the President to confront these liers, in congress."

Exactly!! It's easy to criticize the administration about not being tough enough, but repubs all wimp out in the end for fear of losing a friend or interview, etc.
I think this is not the time to be so polite.
Sorry!

Pataki changed totally so he could get re-elected in NY State, and he is about worthless now. Pataki is not even running again which in effect will give the Governorship to Eliot Shitzer. That will bring more conservatives to flee NY State, he is a Business killer, and once he is elected you will see the Businesses pack up and get the hell out at double what they are doing now.

Listening to this band, I am ready to go to Iraq and kick some butt myself, or maybe I should just go to the Senate floor. "As he died to make men holy, let us die to make them free. Our God is marching on."

I didn't know that. :-)

Trivia time: Which battle turned the tide of the R. War? Saratoga.

That's the city that just went Dem. :-(

One of the biggest mistakes of the Vietnam War .. and that was having the politicians tell the Military how to win a war

I would have thought we would have learned that lesson .. but I guess not

I have to ask myself: can I really handle Hillary, Chuckie AND Governor Spitzer without becoming suicidal?

The Dems don't care about history or lessons learned. They live for the moment, situational ethics and whatever is politically expedient.

Their morals and values change with the times, ergo their need for judges that prefer a "living" constitution.

Pinning them down to a set of policies is like nailing Jell-O to a wall.

Again with total respect, I disagree.
I think we have peaked with conservative media. You see how they can be beaten when the MSM turns it on.

Our majorities cannot be sustained, ( as evidenced in l994), when we where unable to govern, ie reduce gov, shut down depts, and now drilling ect.

The media cannot be overcome by our Reps, they are too afraid, and rightly so, I know because I worked for one of those in the class of 94. He was smeared as a polluter because of a vote on a bill concerned toxic cleanup where the lawyers got most of the taxpayer money. To this day his reputation feels ruined, ( he is just a businessman in town), and this does not allow normal everyday people in America to run for office.
