This week, the book "Truth and Duty" by Mary Mapes, former CBS producer, was released. The book contains several inaccuracies in the description of my participation. Because the book is a public document, I see it as my duty to publicly state the truth about what I said and did.

Mary Mapes is an absolute fool who can't grasp the fact that to get out of a hole you need to quit digging.

Not only is Maples a liar and activist, but a complete computer idiot as well. Can't open a PDF file... pfffft!
If one accused George Bush of lying because he somehow disregared some CIA docs that doubted WMDs, the Maples is lying as she disregarded some expert opinion on the docs.
The only trouble is that no reputable expert would affirm that these are genuine, while Dubya had the majority opinion on his side.

IMO the interesting part of this woman's own story changes a popularly conceived timeline. It was not Buckhead (all due respect) who first noticed discrpencies but Ms. Will.
And Will was hired by CBS before the broadcast. CBS went ahead anyway.
Consider Mapes' statements immediately after exposure by Buckhead, et al. Her feigned ignorance is belied later by the discovery that Will informed her of the very same defects. Mapes knew.

During the course of these CBScapades... She CBStablishes that she is a little ticked at their journalistic practices. LOL.

Sheesh, those aren't anywhere close to being the same signature. I had not seen this before now.

Sheesh, those aren't anywhere close to being the same signature. I had not seen this before now. I don't know of any link offhand, but Vincent Foster's "suicide note" is of roughly equal quality. Letterforms that look NOTHING like his other writings.

With her book, Mapes is, once again, trying to "brazen it out". It always worked for her before: she had See BS... the "little people" (who knew the truth of the story) had no way of being heard.
The internet changed all that, Mary. It's time she learned a hard lesson. And she obviously isn't a very fast learner...

Neither had I.
How can any Lefty with a shred of objectivity and sanity (assuming that such a creature exists) look at these documents and think they are anything but outrageously amateurish forgeries?

Mapes: "Oh, in a cosmic sense, like so I could be back at work and everything would be fine, like Groundhog Day,"

Mapes was on the Washington Post web site today for a "chat."
She was asked the following question:
Chicago, Ill.: How do you respond to document examiner Emily Will's refutation of your book at: Memo-Gate
Mary Mapes: Haven't read it.
Convenient, huh?

Sounds like she's 'gathering up' another group of 'memos' to blast us with. Takes a lot of time to make them look 'authentic'!!
Seriously, she must really think she has something new. I have seen her at least 4 times in the past few days and she is taking some hard hits. Why is she doing this?
