Soviet Union is the anglicanised way of saying CCCP.
CCCP was the cyrillic way of saying "Union of Soviet Socialist Republics".
Now, you were saying?
I know what it stands for, what I'm saying is that using Russia and CCCP/Soyz Sovetskih Socialistichnih Respublikov is wrong. Russia was a member state of the CCCP. If the Kremlin had been located in Kiev, would you use Ukraine and CCCP interchangably?
