Al-Qaida has named Queen Elizabeth II "one of the severest enemies of Islam," the Sunday Times newspaper reported, citing a video message allegedly obtained by Britain's security service.

Government officials were not immediately available Saturday night to confirm the report. A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman refused comment, saying it was a matter for the police.

I know. But hell, people would rather listen to blithering idiots tell them that Islam is a peaceful tolerant religion than read the basics for themselves.

My reference was largely in reference to this modern day ala carte "choosing of enemies" by muslims. Anyone with a brain can easily see that this clearly isn't going to stop. Hence, the only thing that will slap some daylight into libs and others too cowardly to confront reality and thoughts that the peace that many enjoy in the westernized nations for granted is apparently an open declaration of war. Hell, they've declared war essentially on it all anyway. Just formalize it. Their just as cowardly as those not desiring to see reality.

Charles' grovelling may well have been an attempt at appeasing the Jihadists since he would likely have been in full knowledge of their targeting his mother as MI5 have known about this since shortly after 7/7 and have increased her security.
