Posted on 11/14/2005 8:28:13 PM PST by JewishRighter
ELMENDORF AIR FORCE BASE, Alaska - President Bush escalated the bitter debate over the Iraq war on Monday, hurling back at Democratic critics the worries they once expressed that Saddam Hussein was a grave threat to the world. "They spoke the truth then and they're speaking politics now," Bush charged. Bush went on the attack after Democrats accused the president of manipulating and withholding some pre-war intelligence and misleading Americans about the rationale for war.
No hard feelings, and I'm not a thread cop ;-)
Sorry admin. Just saw this posted already.
I don't know, it seems like a good time to escallate defending our war effort and supporting our troops!
Well the title should say so: Bush boldly defends his policy in the face of unpatriotic democrat criticism
President Bush escalated the debate over the liberal lie-monger's hateful and treasonous criticisms. I like that headline better.
They want Bush to continue to allow the dems to lie and the MSM to lie. How dare he reply?!/sarcasm
I'll go with yours, too. Either way you spell it, AP, MSM and rats are scum. :) Have a nice day.
Here....read the complete AP story.
Doh! sorry. My butt hurts from all the in' I'm taking over the double post. But I guess I brought it on myself.
I just finished watching the speech and i hope W visits every Military base and gives this same speech, Our Troops need this from their Commander-in-Chief
Don't worry about the double post. It happens to all of us sooner or later :)
An argument usually does escalate when the other side starts to defend themselves.
That would be the appropriate headline.
Unbelieveable...Bush has been called a liar, a war monger, and every other nasty thing...but now HE is escalating the bitterness????
I'm so sick and tired of this crap...There's not even an attempt anymore to be fair-minded
Hey . if we were French we could organize by cell phones,
and cooordinate a burning of all the liberal Mass Media offices and cars , with impunity.
Don't get me wrong. I am not advocating this, just joking. But if these sickos dont stop spinning out this mush title crapola, they will eventually cause riots and demonstrations against themselves!
Bush Escalates Debate
Leftists want Rebate
is there some way i can find out who decided upon that headline?
Please do more... While you're on it, say a little word about the "competence" of CIA, and keep repeating what some Dems had to say up to 2003...
I can't even read other websites now...my blood is boiling.
Should know better than to see what the Lamestream is up to though...they pretend polls are news stories and take a new one everyday.
I thought they might have Bush's address to the Dems tonight but they'll just gloss right over that to tell us about the approval rating of someone who never has to run again.
They are all traitors...I love you FReepers. Thank God I found this site!
The MSM wing of the 'Rat Party likes the New Tone and is ticked that Bush seems to be abandoning it. They've had a 5-year license to attack Bush without worrying about defending their attacks. Why should they have to justify themselves now?
How well I know that feeling. I rarely watch TV either because there's no "news" there, just propaganda and that goes for a lot of Foxnews too. Oh yeah, they're always touting the "fair and balanced" silliness but notice how the libs tend to always be allowed plenty of face time and L-O-N-G responses, nah, they can have it. Freerepublic is my main source.
Finally Rove is telling him to take the gloves off. Kudos to the staffer who wrote that line.
In other news: Victim Escalates Bitter Rape Debate by Saying No to Assailant.
Bush takes 12 rounds of face punches and the Dems are "commenting" on Iraq. Bush throws one body jab and he's "escalating".
President Bush Responds to Incessant, Irrational Foaming-at-the-Mouth By Hate-America Democrats
They sure do love to pound those drums. Including that little phrase in this AP piece, regardless of its absurdity, is another beat that hurts the President and the war effort, and so therefore they are duty-bound to print it.
I wish I knew. I've done some research in the past and found that, as far as receiving comments about particular articles, the major news services don't make themselves nearly as accessible as they do to 2 ugly lefty protesters chaining themselves to a KFC in Cincinnatti at 2:00 O'Clock in the morning.
New Tone? You mean the one where W always stood for Wimpy (in the politics of Washington, I mean)? Yeah. The MSM would like that. Kick butt W!!
All this crap about supporting the troops....give me a break...their 'support' is only in their imagination. In any honest, real terms they would like nothing better than to undermine their efforts and ruin their cause in Iraq and in general. That they fervently deny their primary objective is a tacit admission that their position is anti-American and unacceptable.
These slimy worms don't have the cojones to even make their case with intellectual honesty.
The left never ceases to amuse. First, W is stupid and a dolt according to their script. Now, the same stupid dolt deceived and misled the leftists. That seems to say little for the left but they have never been bothered by accuracy.
In the lib world, libs are allowed to hurl whatever epithets and derogatory statements at their enemies, which is us conservatives, and we are supposed to just sit back and take it. I'm sure all the lefties in Big Media were "left" gasping for air when Bush had the temerity to respond to their hysterical, accusatory, semi-treasonous lies.
"Why, how dare Bush answer his critics!" they exclaim to themselves, "when we shout and scream (and tell lies) at people, they are not supposed to respond", they bluster in horror.
The Dem's base is becoming more and more like the juvenile cretins in Seattle who recently threw objects at and forced out a military recruiter at a local school. Unbelievable in America. I'm coming more and more to the conclusion that a separate country for libs might not be a bad idea.
Yeah...I saw this title last night on Yahell.
Nawwwwwww....there is no bias.
I posted this on the Yahoo! Message board in the Discussion forum for the AP article. There were many Libs there complaining:
I Wish Saddam was Still in Power.
I wish he was still stealing millions from his people through the Oil-for-Food program.
I wish he was still firing on American & British jets enforcing the No-Fly Zone.
I wish he was still torturing those who spoke against him
I wish his thugs were raping Iraqi women and children
I wish there were news stories coming out every day, criticizing Bush for "ignoring the threat of Saddam in a post 9/11 world."
I wish the Iraq Kurds were treated as second-class citizens in their own country, instead of running TV commercials thanking us for their freedom.
I wish we we were living our lives wondering if Saddam was going to provide ANY kind of weapon to terrorists and use them against us.
I wish we would leave now, so Saddam could regain power and 2,000 American lives could be wasted after fighting a war those same Americans believed in.
I wish we would leave now, so our brave troops can be denied the victory they deserve; so those 2,000 will have died in vain. I will be able to use those numbers forever to fight my political battles, which are most important to me.
I wish the Middle East and the Islamic world would stay the same, without democracy, without rights for women, and continue to develop hatred for the West.
I wish all these things just because I despise George W. Bush, and those like him, more than I love the USA. I wish these things because I would rather use the war on Islamofacism for political gain than for the unification of my country, even after 3,000 innocent Americans died in one single day.
I wish all these things because my political cause, and my religion of Liberalism, is more important than the success of our president, our troops, and our country.
I wish all these things because I am a Liberal.
That is just super. Thanks for sharing that.
Took me a few minutes to write that one...wish I'd posted it earlier.
