Assistant manager Donna Summers called Ogborn into her office, locked the door, ordered the teenager to take off her uniform and confiscated her cell phone and car keys. According to reports by the Louisville Courier-Journal and ABC News “Primetime,” the McDonald’s manager demanded that the employee remove her underwear (presumably to be searched for contraband) and confess to the crime. Ogborn was given a greasy apron to cover her naked body and was later forced to do naked jumping jacks and perform a sex act on Summers’ fiance, Walter Nix.

Seriously, though, all the assistant manager had to do was call the cops or corporate. McDonalds doesn't jack around. I know of two franchises that got yanked for far less than this.

I saw this report on Primetime Live. The lady manager was bad, but by far the worst abuse was inflicted by the lady's fiancee. He's the one who made her do naked jumping jacks and give him oral sex. He's been criminally charged and I think he pled guitly and got a light sentence.

The demands became more and more bizarre. When Ogborn says that when she failed to address Nix as "sir," the caller tells him to hit her violently on the buttocks over and over. At one point on the video, Ogborn was "spanked" for almost 10 full minutes.

Watch it on Primetime and you'll understand. The security camera captured it all. She is a very sheltered frightened child who believed she had to do what the "police" ordered her to do. Parents should be very careful about teaching children to always follow the orders of those in authority.

I saw this on Primetime. AFAIK there are only two explanations for the bizarre behavior of the manager, Summers.

1) The sheeple have been indoctrinated with such a respect for government and authority that people will do anything a person in a position of relative authority (cop, etc.) tells them to do, without regard for whether the demand makes sense or whether the person actually has sufficient authority to make that demand, or whether they have gone through the legal procedures required to do so (such as getting a warrant in the case of a premise searth), or

2) The manager and her boyfriend (who got a hummer) were actually in on the fiasco.

Since they caught the guy in Florida who was doing this, and since he had done it to fast food outlets across the country, (1) is the more likely option.

Probably not. Some people on this thread are so convinced that nobody would follow such orders that they'll never understand.

And then there are those who don't bother to read anything at all. They're the ones thinking this girl is an illegal alien or mentally retarded.

This girl should OWN that McDonalds and have enough money to put herself through the best college in the country besides.

I hadn't read the story when I posted above. Every one of these folks was incredibly dumb.

I once had a 20 year-old girlfriend who was induced to strip at her home by a caller who started out by "taking a survey" about women's clothes.

My first job out of high school was Mall Security in Brea, CA. For months some guy would keep calling clothing stores and tell the girls working that he was in the air vent above them and had a gun pointed at them. He would then tell them to strip or he would shoot them. After the first time we sent out a memo to all the mall employees explaining that the air vents were too small for anyone to fit in them and that it was a prank call. But every time we turned around we would see a naked Gap employee running through the mall screaming.

We live in a country that was founded by people that said "go stuff it" to the most powerful nation on the planet at the time.
I'm surprised at times by the "don't ever break the law" crowd in our country. Don't go 56 mph because 55 mph is the speed limit. Submit without question to all govt employees. Wrong.
We need citizens in our country that think for themselves. And at times tell the ruling authorities to "go stuff it".
