Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson begins his reelection year with a 55 - 31 percent lead over U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris, the only announced Republican challenger in the 2006 Florida U.S. Senate race, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.

This does not look good at all. No wonder Allen Bense is reconsidering the race.
The poll consisted of 987 likely democrat voters and 4 republican possibles.
Jeb is our only hope. I wonder what it'd take to get him to throw in his hat? Maybe if we draft him.
Let me put it this way... there is no way the Dems would go forward with these numbers, if it were they.
They would float up Frank Lautenberg, if necessary.
bad news ping
Well to hear the MSM, no republican will win in 2006. "The Sky if falling" mentality of this group.
Sounds like a lot of B/S to me.
She is an awful candidate - she never recovered from caking on too much makeup for her moment in the sun back in 2000. She is too easy to make fun of. She has a lot of work to do to make this work.
The polls are accurate - maybe this one is overstated a bit, but clearly the GOP is deficient all around.
tagline says it all
You just love negative polls don't you. Maybe you should just admit that you're a troll and go back to DU, LP, or whatever sewer you spawned from.
The polls are accurate.
Here horsey horsey.
Do you feel she is a good candidate?
Keep in mind the RNC has been doing a lot of whining about not being able to get good candidates. With numbers that are coming out in various state polls for senate, they will be lucky to have any candidate to run. Do not be surprised if a lot of these old Dems get a pass and get to run unopposed.
Jeb is hardly our only hope. It's looking increasingly like the naysayers (whom I thought overhyped her problems at first) are right.
Anybody with a pulse, other then Harris, could win this pretty easily. Its just a matter of winning the primary.
I think that's doable. Martinez was able to win the primary based largely on the fact that he was the stronger candidate in the general. I think someone else could make that arguement sucessfully as well.
I am going to keep asking until someone figures it out -- who is paying Rasmussen for all these polls that are showing RATs winning every last one? This inquiring mind wants to know internals, etc. because these polls smell and I want to know who is footing the bill and what are the questions!
Never mind -- this is Quinnipac but who is commissioning them to poll in Florida? Between them and Rasmussen we are getting polling too far out from an election to amount to a hill of beans. Some of you are posting this crap but where are the internals. I don't intend to go to any of their sites and give them any hits.
