According to the college's website he is not a
"Professor," an "Adjunct Instructor of English." Regardless, he's a real loser no matter what title he holds.
This is OUTRAGEOUS - John Daly is now a PROFESSOR?! ;)
Seriously, looks like he "exposes" with cliches and propaganda --- and no real facts to back it up. A million Iraqi children died from sanctions, etc...and this is a professor. Sad.
Glad he emailed her, good to have a paper trail for his rabid views.

Biographical Profile
B.A., Kean University
M.A., California State University at Northridge (magna cum laude)
Professor Daly received his MA in Linguistics from California State University , Northridge in 2000. John enjoys teaching writing most of all, aside from his interests in socio-linguistic theory. His 12 years experience working in public health research adds another dimension to his interests. His research background translates into years of hands-on experience in writing research documents and papers in the professional world. Two video-workbook collections that he produced and wrote have won awards and are currently used by the Canadian Department of Health. Often linguists do not use their skills to teach grammar and writing, but Professor Daly finds that linguists have a special view on language that may help studentsparticularly students who have had trouble in these areas in the past. English courses generally are taught from a rule-based perspective. Students become overwhelmed with these rules and often find the exceptions make them impossible to manage. Linguistics view language from a descriptive point of viewthat is they understand language in the same way you might organize a sock drawby dumping the contents on the ground and seeing what goes together until finally ending up with a super-efficient drawer (or deeper understand of grammar and writing). Students often respond to this approach.
What about if students murdered their professors? (Hypothetically speaking of course.)
007 would probably have also been a better Professor than the pitiful subject of this thread.
Email sent to the both daly and his boss. Good luck to this young lady.
It's a really good thing there is no one superior to an American soldier.
Send one to the President of the college too. Be civil though.
I will watch if the BOR does.....sometimes he is useful. I would love to see this wack job fired.
Now how is that for a re-write?
The guy who wrote this is an English Professor?
Someone must be kidding!!!
That poorly drafted missive was from an ENGLISH professor????
Psst: Professor Daly, at least when it comes to email...cover your sorry illiterate a$$. Mister Spell check is your friend!
Aaaaah, and it worked so well when tried by the Russian soldiers who were urged to rise up and turn on their superiors during the Russian Revolution. And the 70+ years of communism, socialism, stalinism, leninism and their death machines that followed. And everywhere else this disastrous human experiment was tried.
Sounds like Professor Daly is longing for a resurgence of communism, and hoping to plant the seeds of sedition in the minds of his students. I hear Cuba's nice, if you like that sort of thing...
Done...this is what I wrote.
Liberals preach tolerance and diversity, when a college professor, such as Mr. Daly, threatens a student's educational career for her political views he should be fired.
BTTT
Disregarding for the moment the abhorrent nature of this email from a professor to a student, the email is absolutely riddled with misspellings, grammar errors and sentence fragments. This is a college English professor? I know 7th graders who know how to write better than that.
Ah! I'm sorry. I guess I didn't read close enough! For some reason I thought it was referenced in terms of 'teaching'. Yes, guy is a nut job- I sent my e-mail to the president expressing my concern. Has anyone posted a phone # for the school? I wouldn't mind giving the head office a call, not to blow up or be rude, but I think this is disgusting.
Too bad treason is no longer a crime.
