Leaders of the Islamic Society of Boston broadened their defamation suit yesterday in Suffolk Superior Court to add conspiracy charges against a group of journalists and scholars who the Muslim leaders allege sought to ruin the reputations of the society and its leaders and prevent construction of a major mosque in Boston.
The suit expanded upon and incorporated two previously filed lawsuits -- the first brought in February against WFXT-TV (Channel 25), and the second in May against Channel 25 and the Boston Herald. In those earlier suits, leaders of the Islamic Society charged that reports broadcast and published in 2003 and 2004 defamed them by falsely linking them to Islamic terrorist groups.
Yesterday's filing alleged that several nonprofit advocacy groups, individuals, and reporters, acting out of alleged bias against Muslims, conspired to defame the society and its leaders.
Among newly named defendants:
Steven Emerson, a Washington-based writer, and his organization, The Investigative Project Inc.;

We have to help this guy defend himself against CAIR, who are the people behind this.
The Islamofascists are using our own court system to try to muzzle those who expose them.
This is very bad.
We've got to get these people out of our country.
Well this is one jury I would be happy to serve on....
The silence of "moderate" Muslims, in the War against Terrorism -- is deafening..
OOOH, I like it!!!!
Look in the AQ handbook and you'll find that this is the exact tactic radicals are to take when caught in the act. What a suprise.
"We've got to get these people out of our country."
I hear you. For right now though, we must win this legal fight. I am hoping to find an address where contributions can be sent.
"No more building permits for Mosques, until:"
I agree. (Basically, until forever.)

True. however, So far, the conservative community has not been effective and rallying a response.
Think about it. Conservatives in United States care about our struggle in Iraq, and want to help our troops---rightfully so. But there (in Iraq), our impact (the impact of stateside, non-military people) is indirect. Here, on the other hand, is part of the same struggle that we can fight directly---must fight directly.
If we lose this fight here, every American soldier in Iraq, has been partially outflanked.
I would like to deliver a very large coffee to every conservative American on this one---to wake us up and focus us on this one particular problem at this point in time. Unlike the immigration problem, which is also very important but very large and complex in many ways, this lawsuit is an extremely narrow front to fight on. We can 100% win this fight, if we mobilize the foot soldiers of the conservative organizations here in the US and focus them on this.
