(((GLOBAL WARMING PING)))
You have been pinged because of your interest in environmentalism, alarmist wackos, mainstream media doomsday hype, and other issues pertaining to global warming. Freep-mail me to get on or off.
the Davids were reprimanded last August for building a 26-foot-long barbecue station, stone-and-concrete bonfire pit, and outdoor theater on an environmentally sensitive patch of their 14-acre North Road property without the proper permits. They were also cited for tearing up protected vegetation to make way for a lush, sodded lawn, among other, pettier crimes against nature.
Global warming, tree-hugging activists are ripping scars in the face of "mother nature" when they think no one is looking.

(Celebrating my first full year on FR! Has it been one year already?? Has it only been one year??)
Martha's Vinyard and Nantucket were almost completed deforested in 19th Century. (See Melville's description in Moby Dick.) Lack of fuel for heating was the price they paid for access to fishing and whaling grounds. There are few old trees on Martha's Vinyard. I vactioned in the house on Oak Bluffs on MV were President Grant witnessed the 1876 Centennial Fourth of July Fireworks. It is really a kewl place, if it weren't for all the damn liberals.

Just goes to show, the only ones that give a damn are the conservatives, with farmer, loggers, and miners leading the way!
