I would favor legislation that would afford Secret Service protection to ex-Presidents only for so long as they remained retired and completely out of the public arena.

Maybe we could permit one volume of memoirs every two years. But certainly no speeches, magazine articles, or overseas interferences unless requested the the current POTUS.
