Didn't he think of this before he moved in?
To: Mike Bates
The city council should accede to his request and rename it Cox Street.

One of the main arteries in Longmont, CO is Gay St. How'd you like it if an acquaintance told someone that you live on gay street? They might think it was a code...

Near my house there is a development with a cul-de-sac named Gayboy Lane.
Apparently one of the developer's employees was having fun with a permit application and the township fathers weren't paying attention.
if I contracted one of those homes only to find out months later what these idiots had named my street, I'd be pretty angry.

There's a Pealiquor Road in Maryland; actually an upscale residential area by local standards; some residents whined about the name (which has a history of hundreds of years) but they were shot down.

A story was that once in tsarist Russia a man requested [it had to be done through the very top - he had to petition the emperor] a change of his surname, which surname could be loosely translated as "seven derrieres". After proper interval he was granted another surname: "eight derrieres".
